Anatalia Dentire was born a child in Illian, to a ship captain and a young peasant woman aboard the captain's ship. Her birth was accidental, and the father was tempted to throw the child overboard during the 12 month round trip journey through different cities ports. Anatalia reminded the captain of himself, the looks were so similar that he just couldn't bear to part with the young child.

She grew up with the captain and the peasant woman he later married for the sake of the child. It was a hard life her first few months, still aboard the ship. When they reached Illian for the first time in a year it was decided that Anatalia and her mother would stay in Illian, while the father made shorter cargo trips so he could spend more time with his family.

Anatalia grew up in a happy family, her parents never fighthing, and even with her father gone most of the year, he was a great father, always brining back gifts from far away lands. When Anatalia was 6 her mother bore another child, this time a boy. Her mother named him Derin after her father.

Derin and Anatalia grew up together in Illian, brother and sister and as close as could be. Anatalia had a passion to run off and become a Hunter of the Horn, and Derin was a meek boy that wanted to become a captain like his father. At the age of 18 Anatalia was pursued by a suitor, but it was not one that any respectful girl wanted. Her father hid her aboard his ship and took her with him on a voyage to Tar Valon. On their stay there Anatalia found that she could channel. She pursuaded her father to let her stay, and he did after a lot of begging.

Anatalia Dentire stands a short height, with brown locks that flow down her back and are usually tied back with aribbon. Anatalia has a good natured temper and doesn't get angry too easily. She has soft eyes and soft skin. She takes after her mother rather than her father in looks and personality.
