Lizard Breath : Part II

Worf fell backwards, his arms flailing. He landed at the feet of another Borg, and looked up in its face. He sent a silent prayer to Kahless that his spirit would be sent to Sto-Vo-Kor as soon as he was assimilated. Then, a massive shadow fell over the Borg. The Borg turned around to see what was there.

The Borg spoke. "This does not compute."

The Borg's head was smashed and a deep powerful voice said, "Compute this."

Worf staggered to his feet, his dagger in hand to face this new adversary. The dagger dropped as he recognized the hulking being, a Brikar. Zak Kebron of the Excalibur caught him up in a warriors' embrace. Worf fell to the ground, gasping.

He looked up at his friend from Starfleet Academy. "Zak!" he gasped out finally.

"Yeah, it's me," the Brikar said as he turned around in place, looking for more Borg to smash. "I think..." he said, "that we could have a lot more fun with that than with these." He gestured first to the GodzillaBorg stomping its way across the terrain and then to the much smaller Borg drones.

Worf got to his feet slowly. He lightly slapped Kebron's shoulder. "You always were the crazy one, going after the big problems. Though, they were never quite this big..."

The centauriform Brikar shrugged slightly. "Like it should be any problem for the big Klingon warrior."

Worf gave Zak a feral grin. "Watch your words or you will be eating them."

Shelby smiled foolishly as the Excalibur and Enterprise soared out of warp speed. The Excalibur immediately hailed them. Shelby smiled even wider as she saw the face of Captain Mackenzie Calhoun. "Mac! Great timing. Could have been better. How's Kebron?"

"Not now, Eppy. I'm beaming down security teams to help with the battle. You could back me up by torping the Cube trying to torp us."

Shelby blushed as various people on the bridge looked first to her than to others as they mouthed the word "Eppy?"

Shelby pressed down a smile threatening to surface. "Mr. Beornin, fire torpedoes."
