Background

Barrance is a maiar that serves the Valar as a messenger and observer most often. He is not a very powerful wizard, having only the power to change his shape it seems. This does, however, allow him to channel great and powerful forms as a dragon or a sea-monster.

Barrance's main job was to keep the knowledge of the Valar's choices for Avatars and to guide the avatars subtly. He found himself to become a father/pet figure for Talasi though, and is happy in that role. He can be a tad overprotective though, as a certain fireball throwing mage found out.

Currently, Barrance's main task is completed. He cannot return to Valinor though as a barrier has been erected to close the Straight Road to the West. Even the path for the dead has been sealed somehow. He will stay in Middle-Earth to fight until Morgoth has been defeated or he himself falls in battle.
