Some faulty beliefs about the term "jihad" came up previously in this discussion, and I think it is important to set people's ideas straight on the subject. "Jihad" is a term from the Qur'an, the book of the Muslim religion. It signifies a struggle for your religion. Most of the time that means doing good deeds for the people around you and honoring what you believe in. It CAN signify a violent struggle, but only as a response to violent religious persecution. "Jihad," in its REAL meaning, is a good and honorable struggle. Not crazy people blowing up buildings or perpetrating persecution. PS. I am not a Muslim. I'm just setting things straight.
