Yes it was hot, but i liked the city. One thing i have hated about large cities is how built up they are, i hate that closed in feeling, and it feels easier to get lost in that since you can't see any distant landmarks. Well Phoenix isn't like that, there isn't that much built up, only directly downtown. I feel i got to know that city the best, probably because i was looking at a map every day hehehe, and the fact that i had to get around on my own, i like and hate that both. I hate buses, but i like the freedom they give me. I would like having a car the best, but when i just have friends driving me around, i don't get the same sence of a city, and could easily feel lost. In truth i rarly get lost, alone or with someone, i just remember how we got there and backtrack, but i still feel confused and like knowing an area. In Phoenix i always had the bus map book(which was pretty big) and i knew where i was going and coming from, so just watched the way i came, and learned some of the city. Although only a small part of it, but still more then in the other places i visited. I also liked the freedom to come and go that i had since i wasn't staying with friends, although i loved staying with friends, but like i said i like independance. That is part of the reason i like to travel hehehehe i was born to travel, and i hope to from now on. . | |
