Laurell K. Hamilton

Laurell K. Hamilton, is the author of very good books, with strong female protagonists. The main series, she is known for is the Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter series. Anita is cool, and can kick ass, just as well as the guys. The stories are generally set in St. Louis, MO (the original reason I was reading them), and are fun to read--just don't try eating barbecue, while reading one. I'm not certain of every single story that Laurell has written. The first book by her that I read was 'Nightseer' I liked it. There is also at least one short story that I have read, can't think of the name, but it is in the 'Spells of Wonder' anthology..
