Here are the characters of babylon5. The summeries I gave of them were from the observations from earlier shows, but especially from the Third and Fourth Seasons.
Capt. John Sheridan
Captain John Sheridan was appointed by President Clark as a replacement for Commander Jeffery Sinclair. He was appointed because his record would suggest that he would listen to whatever order he was given. Prior to his stationing to Babylon5 he was a hero of the Earth-Minbari War. Sheridan is now leading the fight to free Earth. Sheridan was captured on Earth, trying to free his father, but he was betrayed by the conditioned Garibaldi.
Cmdr. Susan Ivonova
Commander Susan Ivonova is second in command of Babylon5, when Sheridan was captured by Earth, she became in command of the war against Clark's forces. Ivanova has commended Garibaldi, telling her officers to "shoot that son of a bitch if he sets foot on the station".
Note: Neither Claudia Christian or her character will be reappearing in Season 5 because of a contract dispute had with the show's producer J. Micheal Strazynski. She is to be replaced by a Capt. Elizabeth Lochley in Season 5.
Micheal Garabaldi
Micheal Garibaldi was once the chief of security on Babylon5, but he resigned due to the program that Bester put in him. Garibaldi is pretty paraniod, a quality that Bester used and exploited. Garibaldi assisted in the capture of Sheridan, and unwillingly saved all the telpaths on Earth. Garibaldi is remorseful of the actions he took, and is now not wanted by everyone.
Doctor Stephen Franklin
Doctor Stephan Franklin was a hitchiker, offering medical serevices to whoever would give him a ride prior to his stationing on Babylon5 in 2258 "Infection". Franklin has a relationship with the commander of the Mars resistance. Currently, Franklin and Lyta Alexander are on Mars, trying to revive the frozen telpaths to use in case the Psi-Corps take action.
Ambassador Delenn
. Delenn is half Minbari, transformed by the Crystalies device at the end of 2258. We have seen her ever-closening relationship with Captain Sheridan, especially in season three. Delenn is highly religous and values life above all else. She is willing to die for her cause. Most recently, Delenn had played a major part in the Minbari Civil War, and restablised the Grey Council.
Ambassador Londo Mollari
Ambassador Londo Mollari is the Centari ambassador to Babylon5. Mollari played a major part in freeing the Narns and the assasiation of the crazy Emperor Cartargia. Londo was voted into the Centari government after the death of the emperor. We know Londo's future better than everybody else's. Surprisingly, his relationship with G'kar had no improvement at all.
Ambassador G'Kar
G'Kar is once more, Narn ambassador to Babylon5. He is highly intellegint and very religious. G'kar went through a lot to free his people, but he is overjoyed that the Centeri are gone. After freeing Narn, he turned down the opputunity to lead his people, because he did not want to imitate the ways of a dying society.
Lennier
Lennier is Ambassador Delenn's assistant. He is very loyal and trustworthy, willing to stand by her through thick or thin. Part of this reason is because he loves her, but he knows that she was destined for another and has accepted that. Lennier is one of the most loved characters of Babylon5.
Vir Cotto
Vir Cotto is Londo's assistant, unlike many other Centaries he is a tense and stressful person. He is very causious with a high moral values, and he doesn't like Morden or the Shadows. He became Lando's assistant because no one else wanted to. Vir and his family is not very close. Vir had no major jobs since being ambassador to Minbar, which he lost when he was found saving the lives of the Narn people.
Marcus Cole
Marcus Cole is Babylon5's most active ranger. Marcus comes from a planet that was attacked by the shadows. In that attack he lost everything except his clothes on his back, and a ranger pin. Marcus speaks Minbari, and he is on most of the Military missions.
Security Chief Zack Allen
Zack became the Chief after Micheal Garibaldi resigned. He is a good friend of Garibaldi, and he isn't sure of his mental health. He is very relunctant to give orders to his former boss, and we may see more of that in the future. We may also see the developing relationship between Lyta and him.
Lyta Alexander
Lyta Alexander was the telepath in the pilot movie, and is now a regular in the 4th season. Her skills were greatly enhanced by the Vorlons to the point where she is much more powerful than even Bester. Lyta had a hard time finding work so she very relunclantly sold the secrets to her enhanced skills to Bester.
Lt. Corwin
Lt. Corwin is the only character on this list that is not on the intro, though I think he should be. He is third in command behind Sheridan and Ivonova. In the third season Ivonova was to interview him for possible entry in their conspirisy against the shadows, but seeing his loyalty to the Earth goverment they omitted him.
