Set aside some time to play this level. It's a long haul. Ahhh. Fresh air again. While you may be tempted to hop onto the physics-defying, swinging crate, it's really not such a good idea. Rather, find a way to take care of the sniper below before you go swimming. If you swim around enough, you'll find a way up one of the walls. There's a switch up there, which is pretty easy to miss. Remember, climbing isn't the only way up. Now that the roof section has opened up, you need to make your way back to where you started and make a well-timed jump to reach the opening. There, you'll find some hoodlums waiting for you. Hmmm. That didn't get you out of this area, either. I bet it has to do with the room with the window to the right. Be warned, though. If you try to jump into the room via the roof, you'll die. You need to enter through the window, but you can't swim to it, either. Make your way up the ladder.Welcome to the rooftops of Venice. They sure don't make them like they used to eh? The boards will give way, so be speedy. There are a few spots where you don't need to do any turning on the way across. All it takes is some well-timed long jumps.Ahhh. This must be the roof of the opera house. You might think that you've cleared the roof of it's baddies, but you really haven't. Stay alert. You can get onto the dome by hopping up the corners, just in case you need pick some things up there.Oh, so you actually wanted to get in? Check out the corner with the swinging crate. Inside you'll find two switches. The one on the right is totally worthless, for now.Finding the button down there isn't hard at all. Just watch out for the rocks and remember how that button works because you'll have to use it at least twice more. This is your first jump and grab and climb, I think.Watch out, Opera fans, Lara is in the house. Hehe.Don't get so involved with the sniper that you don't pay attention to the sandbags. They're bad news. Now you need to make your way to a switch on the left side. To get there, though, you'll need to go to the far right, under, over and up again. There's an important gizmo in the water in front of the stage. Now find your way to the stage. When I do it, it takes a running jump with a bit of a curve. To the left you'll find a button that opens the right part of the stage. Over there, it's a really good idea to trigger the sandbags while you're on the ground. Do all of your Lara voodoo to get up to the button on the top. Now a third door opens. Sheesh. Inside that door, you'll need to artfully dodge some more bags and find a third button. You break it, you buy it buddy. You don't need to find your way down to the ground again. Just take a hop into the new hole in the floor. Swim into the small hole where you'll find a switch (and a stone dragon if you're paying attention). Finding a way out of there isn't very tricky. Now you'll find yourself on a high balcony. Climb up higher and make your way to the door in the far corner. There's a box that controls the elevator, but it's missing a relay. You'll find a golden dragon in this vicinity, too. Downstairs you'll find baddies and a some nifty weapons. Remember that no harm will come to you if you WALK throughthe blades. The elevator shaft is a much more interesting place than the elevator car itself, wouldn't you say? Pick up the circuit board and find a way to open up the underwater gates. With a little rat killing and a little ledge hopping, you'll find yourself in a hall which leads to the dressing room. Open the door to the air ducts and get ready for some fun.=OD The fans are a lot of fun. The first couple are a matter of knowing when to jump while sliding. (Remember that a nice side jump will get you on the ramp and ensure that you're facing the right way). The next four fans are a matter of finding the right spot to jump from. It's really easy, actually, because you just use the most basic jump of all. Keep an eye out for an ornate key. Before you head out of the ducts, be sure to pick up that jade dragon, too. Back out to the dressing room. With the help of the two crates (think about it), you can get out. In the middle of the hall, you'll find a keyhole. Use the ornate key to open the way back into the opera house entrance and find a good home for the circuit board. Pull the once useless lever on the right and now, voila! Another door on the stage opens.Inside, you'll find lots of crates, crates and more crates. Just one of them moves. Now you're up to that area of the balcony that you tried to get to time after time. Getting past the swinging sandbag isn't easy, and it's not a simple matter of timing like the other ones. Think about this: what does it take to stop Lara in mid jump? That is one HUGE guy. Man, he's cool, though. :) He's not alone in the warehouse, though, so watch out. If you walk have way across the warehouse and turn around, looking towards the entrance, you'll see the button that will get you out of there. Go in the plane. What other choices do you have? Enjoy you're second cut scene, but watch your back.
