This level will make you fall in love with Tomb Raider 2, I promise. It's an incredible ride. A lady in a foreign land shouldn't be hanging out in alleys. Head for open ground. Dogs and people and people and dogs? Man are people cranky in Venice. From now on, you're probably best off shooting everyone you see.Resist the temptation to climb up the building for a little while. Go swimming instead. Although you can't take the boat out quite yet, there's a little something to be done where it is. Now you can go climbing. You'll need to get off on the second floor for a moment to keep going up. Now that you're on the third floor, where to go? No doors and no way to get up higher. Ask yourself this: in real life, how would you enter a building with locked doors?Find a way to get over to the balcony where the first sniper was. He has something very important. Also, look for a switch in the house. That's not the only important switch, though. You'll need to break another window and do some clever hopping to find another one.Now take the boat for a spin, but you can only go so far. I'd recommend swimming around in the dark areas for finding nifty dragon-like trinkets. Watch out for rats on ledges; they're hard to spot. The guarded switch opens the first gate and the underwater lever opens the second. Both can't be open at the same time, though. It's good to practice getting in and out of the boat, anyways. Out in the open is a lot of fun. Just tear around the place and pop into any doorways you can find. An important place that you might not have thought to check is a low-lying cement bridge. There's all sorts of excitement up there. Also look for a doorway next to a larger, dark opening. Be sure to check fallen enemies for keys.Once you've opened the large gate, it's time to head out. Don't try to make it past the mines with your own boat, though. You'll need to detonate them with something else. (I loved that part).
