The Roswell Incident

On July 2, 1947 something crashed in a ranch near Roswell, New Mexico, but what that something was has always been a bit of a controversy. Why Roswell? At the time (early July of 1947) Roswell was the only place in the world where nuclear tests were being conducted. (Because a nuclear detonation can be detected from outer space, many say that we contacted them) And also in 1947, nearly every state had reported at least one UFO sighting. so it all comes together when you think about it: A race of aliens were checking out Earth (what their intentions were is unknown: (See Can life exist on other planets) in 1947. All of the ships got back safely, except for one, which crashed in Roswell, New Mexico. And the government knows about this (See: Government Conspiracies), and is keeping it Area 51, a top secret U.S. Military base 90 miles north of Las Vegas, where they have been experimenting on it for the past 50 years. And that's just the beginning.

A Closer Look
Shortly after the crash, the Air Force first reported that they had some kind of a flying disk in their possession, but General Ramey, Commander of the Eighth Army Air Force soon changed the story, saying it was a weather balloon. Walter Haut, Public Information Officer of the 509 Bomb Group, who was originally supposed to tell the media of the story says that this is the perfect cover-up, by "first admitted that we have the material, then a higher up says no you don't."

Jesse Marcel Jr., son of the Intelligence Officer at the Roswell Air Base recalls his father coming home one day telling his mother and himself that he wanted to take them and show them something very strange, the parts of a flying saucer. After seeing them, Marcel says they are not like anything he as ever seen before, definitely not any kind of plane or weather balloon. Frankie Rowe, daughter of the Roswell fire Lt. recalls going to visit the Roswell fire station when she was 12, and seeing the strange debris, known as metal foil. There people were trying to cut and burn it, but it would sustain no damage. She even recalls playing with the strange metal, picking it up and dropping it, but being unable to feel it.

The Second Crash
Later, a second crash occurred in the desert, about 30 miles north of Roswell. Frankie Rowe's father had been told that an airplane had crashed, been when he got there, he discovered that it was not any kind of plane, but a flying saucer. While there he also saw three alien being which he described as "little people", with a child like in appearance, no hair, and deep, slanted eyes. Two of them were covered up in what looked like body bags, and one was still moving. Later, the craft and the bodies were allegedly moved to Hangar 84 at the Roswell Air Field, where they were held for a period of time, until they were eventually moved out in heavily guarded planes, never to be seen again.

The family's of Jesse Marcel Jr. & Frankie Rowe also claim that they were visited by men in uniforms, who told them that they did not see anything, and even threatened to split apart the family, and told them that if that was not enough, they would take them out to the desert, where no one would ever find their bodies. Marcel's father was even ordered to pose with a weather balloon, a photo which he later admitted was a cover-up.

The Investigation
In 1994, the Roswell case was reopened, and investigated by the general Accounting Office. After contacting the FBI, CIA, and NSA, it was revealed that there were no documents related to the Roswell Incident-they had all been illegally destroyed. That would usually be considered a pretty extreme measure to keep the truth about a weather balloon from getting out!!!

The Second Investigation:
As you may have heard recently, the Air Force recently took a break from hitting on chicks and harassing gays to conduct ANOTHER investigation on the Roswell Incident. At the end of this report it was revealed that the government did recover a UFO from the deserts of Roswell, they have been experimenting with it, and they will soon give every American citizen a ride to the planet of their choice. Just Kidding!!! After sitting around and doing crossword puzzles for a while, the Air Force revealed that what crashed in Roswell on the fateful morning in 1947 was an observation (no longer weather) balloon, and (oh, it gets funnier) the alien bodies seen were actually dummies, that are used for some reason in the testing of these balloons. Congratulations Air Force, you have now made it look even more like you are covering something up!!!

A Slightly More Serious Look:
A spy balloon, as Joe Nickel of the Skeptical Enquirer believes was what crashed in Roswell seems to be the only other slightly believable excuse, for that could explain the governments secrecy/covering up of this event (personally, I still do not believe that they would go so far as to make death threats over it, but that's my opinion). That still does not explain where quite all of that wreckage came from, and the odd nature of it. And what about those bodies? Forget about asking why dummies would be used in the testing of balloons/satellites, and their are still some questions, like what about the ones seen walking around? Are these some kind of robotic dummies, or was this just a figment of many people's imagination? And instead of using some kind of human dummies (like the people who thought up this excuse), why go for the big-headed, long black wrap-around eye versions? Were they all out?

Well, it appears that the government will never give the explanation for the Roswell crash that we really wanna hear. But then again, if anyone ever gave an explanation for Roswell other than a UFO, would we accept it, no matter how credible the explanation was?
"They [KGFL, a New Mexico radio station] assumed that this meant had been identified as some sort of US experimental craft. Yet if this was secret US technology, it would be in a museum today."

The Day After Roswell:

Lt. Col. Philip J. Corso was a senior staff officer in the Pentagon for 21 years, and had previously been on General MacArthur's staff in the Korean War, an advisor to President Eisenhower, Commander of a nuclear missile retallion in Germany, and has been trusted with some of this countries most protected secrets. One of those secrets came in July of 1947, when he was a Major stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas. There was a large shipment being sent from Roswell to Washington that contained alien bodies floating in liquid, which he describes as about six feet tall and three feet wide, covered in tarps: they resembled the alien that we know as "Greys." They were referred to as Extraterrestrial Biological Entities.

But this was just the beginning of Col. Corso's involvement in the US Military with UFO's. In 1961 he stationed a the Pentagon to the office of Foreign Technology, where his assignment was to share the technology with Military contractors. After checking the progress of this technology it was given to various American corporations, and is responsible for the development some of the most advanced pieces of equipment in the past couple of decades. This includes things like stealth technology (which we know has been tested at
Area 51, fiberoptics, and integrated circuits. This was known as applied engineering, and was given to any corporation that wanted it, but they were not told of where it had come from. Since then computers, televisions, walkmen and Stealth Bombers have been built using this technology that has ascended to us from above.
