THE TAVERN:
You ask to the young lady if you can give a look to the old book and she agrees without problem. "It's an old manuscript." She explains. "I found it in the castle in the top of the mountain, beyond the lake, where I lived before. An ancient sorcerer gave it to the father of the father of my father. It contains spells and magic words. Look." She shows you a verse of an old poetry, that sounds mysterious and obscure. You understand that it must be the answer for some odd question but you can know to what it's referred: The inscriptions on the pages are fading to the yellow of the paper. You can't read anything more, except for a passage that says: "In the dark it yell and they'll begin. But not too early or not too late or it will be the end". It isn't very much, but you know that the verse that you have read will help you in a next future. You yawn. It's late and you have no strength to keep on thinking. The night, slowly, becomes deeper and lonely. What do you do? - I go back to sleep. - I go down and I accept the offer of the man. - I try to kiss the young lady. |
