Members shall advance through the guild by rank. As of this time, I have not decided upon
ranks, and I shall not create them until I have determined the guild’s size and diversity of
skills. At this time, I have decided only on two awards, Master of the Cloak and Master of the Dagger.
Pre-beta rank advancement shall be done via e-mail, and as the beta test begins, rankings shall be
awarded by active participation in the guild. Helpers and pre-beta correspondents are good ways to
earn status with me. I hope to maintain base sometime, but I cannot form permanent plans until
I know our approximate final size.
On being in other guilds, no one is allowed with multiple guilds, if a member of this guild.
Occasionally exceptions may exist, but that is done through me.
Honestly, if we don’t gain a great size of people, we will not be able launch any large
campaigns. Also, since smaller bands are more suited to stealth, which is to be our forte, we should
be well off at the beginning
On guild wars, noone is to promote a war, at any cost. We will not be able to do so until we
have grow in size. If forced into an early war, we shall use guerrilla tactics.
Members, I would appreciate any such help that can be offered. If you have a webpage,
notify me, and you can help post news. Helpers shall be well rewarded when the appropriate
time comes.
Hiring of the guild or any member in it is to be done directly through me. High risk jobs
require high amounts of gold, for in which it is us risking our necks.
The guild must remain a tight group and work together for all members to benefit. Once we
have a base of some such, I plan to have guild storage for guild member use. Occasion
meetings may be held if necessary.
As of finances, I will require a certain percentage from the members to go toward guild funds which will
be used for all of the members benefits. Access to guild storage and funds is to be done through me.
I am not going to leave myself open for others to steal from our bounty.
On leadership, I don’t plan to be a pompous guildmaster and push others below me around.
We are a brotherhood, and we shall never abandon one another. Also, you will not be alone
during missions. I plan to be there beside my members, and consider me the same as you
when we are out in the field.
One position in the guild has been created, Arcane Librarian. This member will be maintaining
a guild spellbook. Extra scrolls found by members are asked to be donated to the Librarian
to be scribed into the book. Donating towards this will constitute part of one's dues.
Also, this will assumedly consume the scroll, but we will have a member
create scrolls if need be back from the book. Multiple copies of the book will be maintained in
areas designated by leaders, but once they are placed, members will have access to them.
Members inside the guild need to have our primary modes of communication, ICQ and mIRC. Chat meetings
are occasionally held on mIRC, on the DALnet #cloakedshadows and I'd like it if members reside there also
in off meeting times so as to get the chance to speak to one another. mIRC can be found at
http://www.mirc.co.uk. ICQ is a program that allows
you to see when others are online, and you can chat and send files. It's very handy. ICQ can be found at
http://www.mirabilis.com. We do have a backup to ICQ if they start
charging for their services. It is the Ichat page found at http://www.ichat.com It's not as good as ICQ,
but it will be free.
Applicants to the guild must truthfully and accurately fill out the join application
for it to be processed. Fake names and invalid e-mails will cause you not to be accepted.
*Due to inactivity by members of The Cloaked Shadows, the guild will soon
be revising its rosters, and anyone not in contact with either leader will
be dropped from the guild. Also, now starting, applicants will begin into the
guild on a probationary membership. If that new member is not active for a particular
amount of time, his guild application will be terminated.
