THE BLACK FOX BRIGADE:
FORTITUDE THROUGH STAMINA

The Fusiliers are currently spread over a numb of fronts. One company of mechs from the 302th Striker resides on planet protecting StarMech Design Labs in the Federated Commonwealth. Another company is on Explorer Corp. work; this unit is expected to link back up with their parent unit soon.
The bulk of the Black Fox Brigade, however, is "on loan" to the Star League Defence Force as part of the campaign to destroy the Smoke Jaguars. Many Fusiliers find it ironic that they are part of a force that is ridding a past enemy, one that nearly destroyed the Fusiliers, of another enemy. Their experience in the Combine has been, so far, "unique" (according to some personnel).

OFFICERS
Colonel David Campbell has been the commander of the Commander of the 302nd Striker and the overall commander of the Black Fox Brigade for over 20 years. Some have suggested he resign and let new blood circulate through the ranks. This is unlikely to happen. Campbell considers himself a mentor to all the Fox's Fusilier's commanders and so will stay on until he thinks D.J. Fox is versed enough in command to act on her own. "After that," as he always says, "I'll consider retirement."
Colonel Joey Siselio, commander of the infantry regiment, has turned around the moral of the unit from a all-time low to above average. This has been attributed to his background, that having been a lowly grunt himself, and his laid-back style of command.

TACTICS
Each battalion of the 302nd Striker excels in a particular art of warfare. The 1st Assault does best in the attack, using its massive size to blast through enemy positions. The 2nd Support can defend a piece of property like it was a regiment, and are considered the Fusiliers' defense experts. The 3rd Recon is best at raiding and recon, and the 4th Battlemech Calvary can appear behind enemy lines at will and wreck havoc, even through the most heavily defended strong points.
The brigade as a whole is considered a leader when it comes to defense. The Fox's Fusiliers have a uncanny ability to use the terrain and recourses around them to their best advantage. Enemies who think a field is empty find themselves shocked when tanks and mechs suddenly spring around them.

XO: Lt. Colonel Mira-Bell Hennigar

2nd Support Batt: Major Nogura Nakamora
3rd Recon Batt: Major Ogami Tetsuwo

The 302th Striker Regiment maintains a moderate amount of Star League mechs, some of which are as old as the Exodus itself. It also uses a small amount of Clan equipment.
2nd Mechanized Infantry
Regiment/Regular/Reliable

CO: Colonel Joey Siselio
Colonel Siselio has raised the regiment's experience sufficiently that it is considered regular, allowing them to use their Maxium transports to effect, giving them greater mobility.
The TO&E includes a company of armor for support. Also included is a battlesuit battalion, the 101st Jump Infantry. The 101st is considered elite.
10th Aerospace Combat Group (Furry Wings of Fire)
2 Wings/Veteran/Reliable
CO: Admiral Willard Compton
The Furry Wings are part of the Brigade Combat Transport Group, the unit in charge of the Fusilier's aerospace assets, which also includes the Fusilier's dropships and jumpships. The Furry Wings are good at all mission profiles but masters of none.
The Wings of Fire has a even mix of light, medium, and heavy fighter. Also included are two lances of the new experimental STKU5-0 Stuka omni-fighter, developed by StarMech Design Labs. These planes have performed well and the Federated Commonwealth is expected to buy a licence, a prelude to full production.
1st Heavy Calvary
Regiment/Regular/Reliable
CO: Colonel Dianna Brokenov
The 1st Heavy Calvary has a company of battlemechs as heavy support.
