Battlestar Galactica List Information

Currently, there are two main discussion lists for fans of Battlestar Galactica.

First, there is the Battlestar Galactica Discussion List.

This is a semi-moderated list, currently overseen by our very own Battlestar Galactica "hot-rod", Tina Vivian. Anything (and everything) remotely (sometimes VERY remote) related to Battlestar Galactica has been discussed here. The list is a large family, currently approaching 200 members and some of us have been around since the early days of its inception. You can be sure that you will find a warm welcome when you join, and "lurkers" are welcome. To join, send an email to:

Do not put anything in the SUBJECT line of your email, and remember to delete any signature file that you may have.

The other list is the Battlestar Galactica Fan-Fic List

This is another semi-moderated list, dedicated to Battlestar Galactica Fan Fiction, and related topics. The moderator is the never sleeping Sanna Marcelle Guerin. The list content has been a steady flow of fan fiction, feedback on posted stories, as well as discussion about fan fiction in general. This list is much more focused than the general discussion list. List subscribers are expected to post at least several times a month, providing either fan fiction, or feedback for those that contribute fan fiction. To join, send an email to:

Again, leave off any signature file that you normally add to your emails. Since this is a list for fanfic, please use good judgement when posting material. If we need to "rate" the material, post nothing more than PG or PA, which includes the typical fare seen in the original episodes and room for a little more. If you're not sure, ask Sanna first before you post.

Want to talk to other Battlestar Galactica fans live?

If you are interested in talking live to other Battlestar Galactica fans, you might join the lively group that meets using Internet Relay Chat (IRC) every Sunday evening. We begin at 9:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (2100 Hours) (sometimes earlier) and there is usually someone there for the next several hours.

Obviously, these hours are more convenient for those living in the Americas. There has been some talk about setting up another time that is more favorable for those living elsewhere. If you have suggestions, post them to the discussion list and we'll take them up.
