Janira lived a relatively pampered life, that all changed on her thirteenth name day. She went riding with her uncle Brine, while out Brine took the time to show her some of his knowledge in tactics and strategy. To her surprise she not only understood but also, after an hour of discussion, she was introducing her own unique views. Brine took the young girl under his wing and they were going out all the time. He taught her to scout and track. She learned all that he had to teach and thirsted for more. She then became a frequent visitor to the Royal library while reading up on old battles and campaigns. After a year of this she started to find flaws in certain strategies in some of the greatest victories in New Era legend. By her fifteenth name day she was not only a great tactician, in theory, but quite handy in the arts of weaponry, unarmed combat, scouting, and tracking. Her fifteenth name day was not without hardship. Her father seeing his well-groomed daughter that was to produce the first heir to the house of Hara, turn into a rough edged, drink swilling, fighting thug, blamed his brother Brine. Brine was kicked out of the estates and was escorted to the border of Illian and told not to return. Janira was enraged with her father and instead of calming down she doubled her efforts to become "The most dangerous shark in the Waters." She latched on to one of her fathers hirelings, Harl, who through some coercion was able to get the rough native from the Rahad in Ebou Dar to teach her the things she needed to know.
The Hunt for the Horn, was called in the year of Janira’s sixteenth name day. She was one of the first to arrive in the marble-columned Square of Tammaz. She knelt and took her oaths along with all the other Hunters for the Horn. That evening she went to the estates, her father and mother were out looking for her, she packed and slipped out with a large portion of her own coin. The hunt was long riding, first to Falme where she found stories of the Horn being sounded and the Dead warriors coming forth to fight, while the Image of the Dark One and the Dragon reborn fought with lightening bolts in the sky. She Skipped going to Tear for obvious reasons but heard the rumors of the Stone falling and the Banner of the Dragon flying. She wandered a bit following the rumors to Andor then to Carhien when it fell to the Aiel. Upon her arrival in Carhien she met with some of the young men and women who had started a society, based on the Aiel. She practiced and taught a few of them some of the things she had learned. She laughed at the idea of female Warders when the subject came up. The young women were sure that since there were male channelers there should be female Warders. She left Carhien when there was no word of the Horn.
The rumors of the Horn in the Tower were too prevalent to ignore. Janira headed to the Tower a few months after arriving in Carhien. The White Lions were all over in the hills bordering Carhien to Andor when she started to make her way to Tar Valon. They took her prisoner and tortured her for days not because she had information but because they enjoyed it. She had always heard of Dark Friends but these men were the real thing. The men took turns breaking her in some very terrible ways. After days of this she awoke to her bonds cut, she had no idea how it happened but she was grateful. She jumped the first guard to enter the tent she was kept in. She killed him with her bare hands, then disarmed his corps and killed the guard posted out in front of her tent. She made her way to the main tent, where the leader of the unit laid asleep in that early morning. She let out all of her rage all of her pain on the leader. He was dead after the first couple of seconds, but she kept it up for a while longer. She collected all of her belongings mounted her horse and slipped out in that early morning sun. She had a new found hate for all of the Shadow and swore she would extinguish all the Shadow she could for the atrocities she endured. She no longer thinks that a female Warder is an absurd idea.
Janira is now eighteen, she has light blond curly hair that is cut very short. She is a well-trained scout, and tactician. She fights well with most weapons, but prefers the throwing knives given to her by her uncle Brine, all of her weapons are hand crafted for her body size and balance. She is 5’2” and 105 lbs. She is carefree and loves fun up until the Shadow is involved. Janira was not born with the generous female assets that are abundant in the Mayene or Illian women. She does however have a great physique for a female warrior. She will fight to the death for her friends and accepts responsibility well.
Note: She knows that the Horn of Valere is in the Tower although she has no proof. She will never stop making small and quiet inquiries as she trains
