Directed by Tim Burton, this stop-motion film is one of my absolute most favorite movies. Delightful songs and extremely likeable characters make this movie a joy to watch for any age at any time of year. Nightmare was an Academy Award nominee for Best Special Effects and a Grammy nominee for Best Musical Album for Children in 1993.

The story follows Jack Skellingto, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, on his quest to find that something that has been missing in his life. He winds up in a pecular grove of trees with pictures on them depicting the various holidays. Jack literally gets blown into a place called Christmas Town where the sights and sounds fill him with a 'warmth that's coming from inside' and soon he begins plotting to steal Christmas and attempt to fill Santa's rather large suit.

Will Santa meet his match against the wicked Oogie Boogie Man? Will Jack completely ruin the spirit of Christmas? Will Sally be able to save the day?
