Well Legobot fans, the time has come.  It is time I took a break from Legobot Headquarters.  There are a couple of reasons for this. One, I have not had a good idea for a Legobot since last summer.  Two, my wife and I recently had a baby, which takes up a lot of my time.  Also, I am running out of web space.  When some of the above issues are resolved, I will try to start updating again.
As for the good news, Lego has really taken off with some great robot sets.  There are some truly great Technic Star Wars robots (Destroyer Droid, C3PO and R2D2 to name a few).   The whole Bionicle world is terrific: cool characters, cooler enemies, and new creatures coming out all the time.  The new Bahork sets look awesome.  2002 Bionicle catalogs hint at power suits for the original 6 Toa.
It is indeed a great time for Lego maniacs.  Please enjoy the wonderful new sets that Lego has to offer.  We will meet again...

Origin of the Legobots:

I started creating Legobots when I was thirteen. In 1980 Transformers, Robotech, and Voltron were just starting their reign of popularity. I was hooked from the beginning. I started creating robots with the many LEGO sets my brother and I shared.  I created good guys and bad guys and played with them.
When 1990 rolled around I graduated high school, the robot craze was winding down, and I packed up my LEGOs and stuck them in my closet. It wasn't until July '97 that I got them back out and started playing with them again. I discovered that I still had the talent for building transformable Legobots, only this time I had the funds to buy whatever LEGO sets I needed.  I am now a total LEGO maniac with too much time on his hands.
