Jerakem is now known as J'kem! After several turns as a candidate at Lakesedge Weyr, he has now Impressed blue Aradith, of Darinith and Vicenth's clutch. He thought candidate duties were bad - now he's got weyrling training to get through!

Aradith already seems to be having a good effect on his young rider. J'kem is a lot more open than he was before Impression and more likely to take others at face value, rather than suspecting them of always taking the mickey.

Before Impression, J'kem dreamed of riding a brown but just moments after first looking into Aradith's eyes, he couldn't have imagined being with a different dragon. As Aradith said: "I am for you and you are for me and that is the way it is. I'm hungryyyyy!"

J'kem is quite tall for his age - 16 turns - but he is very skinny with it. He used to be fairly grubby most of the time but Aradith also seems to be increasing his cleanliness!

J'kem also has two fire lizards - green Ingel and blue Fella - although both tend to spend most of their time elsewhere, only turning up when they want feeding.

His parents, both weaver journeymen at Lakesedge Hold, had originally hoped he would follow them and his older brother, Indyll, into the family trade but they were still pleased for him when he was Searched. Although, privately, they didn't think he had a chance of Impressing, they hoped he would still find a place in the Weyr.
