New Deluxe Jango Fett Wave

Ray H. reports that Shopko west in Madison had one of the Deluxe Jango Fett figures on the pegs today. The other figure in this wave is Obi-Wan with Force push.

Deluxe Spider Droid Wave

I ordered a bunch of figures from Entertainment Earth recently since they had a special on free shipping. This wave of figures was in the first shipment from them. This is actually the second wave of Deluxe figures released this year, but I haven't even seen the first release yet at local retailers. The Spider Droid looks really cool. Its paint job isn't as good as shown on the packaging, but that doesn't detract too much. One thing I didn't know was that it can be wound up so that it can actually walk. If it works, this is a very cool feature. The Super Battle Droid Builder is one of those like it or leave it sets. The idea is that you can "build" a droid using a Play Do type putty. The figure has a hollow torso and no head and these are the features you build. It really isn't too bad. The figure has lots of articulation (based from the standard figure release). But, the real reason to buy this set is for the large piece of conveyor machinery you get. This is a good part of any Droid Factory diorama.

Rebel Fleet Trooper Troop Builder Set

I bought these from Entertainment Earth as well. You get the POTJ version and all four figures are identical. Each figure has a clear stand and a blaster. The stand is a nice addition for the price. The only thing I would have wanted differently is for them to include all of the different head sculpts instead of all being identical. This figure has never been the easiest one to find at retail and this could be a cheap way of getting several of them for your army.
