Republic Gunship

Joel Y. reports that TRU east in Madison got in one case of these. Before this, I have only heard of them being found at Wal-Marts and on-line.

Jedi Starfighter with Obi-Wan

Kay Bee Toys east in Madison got in a case of their exclusive ships today. Besides the packaging, there is nothing different from this set and the individual ship and figure previously released. The window box is nice looking making one wonder why they didn't do it this way from the start. One really good thing is that their price is $21.99, which is the same as the ship alone normally.

Kay Bee Toys Report (Lott Dod Wave)

Ray H. and Joel Y. both report that Kay Bee Toys west in Madison was the place to be today. They both saw Clone Pilot wave, Jedi Starfighter with Obi-Wan, red & yellow 12" Clone Troopers, along with the Lott Dod wave. The Lott Dod wave includes the clean shaven version of the Endor Rebel Soldier, Watto, Tusken Raider with Massiff, and Lott Dod. I got the ones pictured from DNSToys.com since I got tired waiting for them to hit the local stores. The new head sculpt on the Endor Rebel Soldier is nice. But, there is an awful lot of the bearded version warming the pegs right now. Watto is nice as well. I like what they did for his wings to simulate their motion. The Tusken Raider with Massiff is OK, but just a remix of old figures. Lott Dod is OK as well, but nothing great. As a whole, this is a boring wave. The figures are either rehashes or lack interesting features. It is hard to get excited about a figure whose big feature is that his hat is removable.

Playskool Falcon

The latest in the Playskool line is also the largest. I also got this from DNSToys.com since they don't seem to be hitting any stores locally. It is quite cool looking and I will have to get another at some time to open.

Unleashed Darth Tyranus & Mace Windu

I got the latest two figures in the Unleashed line from DNSToys.com as well. I wonder how much longer this line can go on. Darth Tyranus looks odd. It is like there is a wind that only affects his clothing, but nothing else. Mace is better than I thought and I would rank him as the second best in the line right behind Vader.

Clone Pilot Wave

Thanks to a tip from Matt, I was able to pick up three of the new Collection 1 figures from Kay Bee Toys east in Madison today. These include #41-Padme Pilot, #47-Jango Pilot, and #49-Clone Trooper Pilot. Padme has quite a few points of articulation including two on each leg and one swivel joint on each arm. Jango is a little boring compared to the others. He has swivel joints on each arm, but nothing else really. The Clone Pilot, of course, comes with the gun turret for the Republic Gunship.
