AOTC Toys at K-Mart East
I stopped at K-Mart east in Madison after work tonight, they had a fair amount of AOTC merchandise :) To start out with, they had 4 or so cases of Deluxe figures, a few cases of Jango Fett's Slave I, a few cases of Jedi Starfighters, and some of the Lightsaber assortment. Also on hand were some puzzles, the game of Life, and another game whose name I can't remember. The games and puzzles were on the shelf; the toys were in boxes on a pallet. I held back my instincts to open the cases and grab some of everything, but couldn't help myself from getting a set of the Deluxe figures. The case was sitting open, how could I resist? This case included (1) Mace Windu, (2) Jango Fett, (2) Obi-Wan Kenobi, and (1) Darth Tyranus. Mace comes with a Battle Droid figure that breaks apart in the middle along with some Force effects and a metal hilted Lightsaber. There is a spring loaded launcher in his right arm to go with the Force effects, and a magnet in his left arm to attract the Lightsaber. It also appears that his left arm has a swivel joint. Jango Fett comes with a bunch of guns and removable armor (including helmet) plus a rocket firing jet pack that has sound effects. The jet pack is huge and plays two blaster sounds. So large in fact that they had to carve out his body to make room (you can see through his torso). Also, no articulation below the shoulders, but he does have swivel joints on each arm. Obi-Wan comes with a Force flipping action platform and magnets in his feet to help him land standing up. His Lightsaber is molded into his hand, but it looks like he has a wrist joint there. Darth Tyranus has the same features as Obi-Wan. Mace is definitely worth the $10.99 I paid for them, but the others may be questionable.
Jedi Starfighter
Joe Y. reports that TRU west in Madison had 6 of these today. Their price is $24.99, which seems high to me.
Target Lowers Price
Target has dropped their clearance prices so that figures are $3.20 while deluxe and 25th 2-packs are $7.90.
