Don M. reports seeing about two cases worth of this wave (along with some Shmi wave) on the pegs at Target east in Madison. This was at about 8:00pm last night, they must have had more figures to put out since I was there in the morning.

Tie Interceptor Review
Joe Y. sent in this review of the Tie Interceptor:
The figures are indeed different sculpts. Obviously, the legs are different, but from the waist up is different as well. The Tie Interceptor pilot is smaller than the carded Tie Pilot is. The helmet and flight box (chest piece) are much cleaner in terms of detail and sculpting. The worst part of the new figure, and I'm echoing many others here, is that the head is horribly loose right out of the box. I expect that the neck post on the head is simply too long. A shorter neck post would make the head tighter against the shoulders. The ship itself is really rather cool. There are a couple of down points though. The plastic is made out of is a softer and more pliable material than the vintage version so it will warp easily. It also appears to be slightly smaller than the vintage version. That was decided upon after comparing the two versions side by side. The wings do not rest properly in their slots. Even with a bit of prodding they still don't look right. The cockpit opens just about the same way that the POTF2 Tie Fighter does. The seat does not move up or down. There some good points though; the texture on the wings is much better than the stickers and even better than texture of the POTF2 Tie Fighter or Vader's Tie. The paint job is great.
