Farm & Fleet Report

Farm & Fleet opened their Toyland section today. The selection wasn't what I had hoped for. They did not have any classic figures at all; there went my hope that they might have had the classic R2-D2. The EP1 figures were older ones from Tatooine Maul wave, Yoda wave, and Tarpals wave. They did have the new 12" Battle Droid wave figures and at $17.99 they are the best price around. Also on hand were Tatooine Showdown 3-packs at $17.99.

Wal-Mart Sales

In response to Farm & Fleet, Wal-Mart is having a sale on their toys. Different stores have different prices, but they are all pretty close. Wal-Mart west in Madison was the price leader with figures (both EP1 and Classic) at $5.38 and Pod Racers at $17.76. This is an excellent chance to pick up figures at a reduced price.

Anakin Naboo

Wal-Mart Sun Prairie had in an Anakin Naboo case this morning.

Odd Classic Case

I thought that I found the new Classic figures when I found a case with a number ending in a "C". But when I opened it up, it had (1) Greedo, (1) Jawa w/ Gonk, and the rest of the 12 count case were Lukes and Hans. I guess I now know who the peg warmers are going to be. It's funny since the Jawa w/ Gonk Droid is the best seller.

R2-D2 Carrying Case

These are just about everywhere now. Almost every Shopko has them, Wal-Mart east in Madison, and TRU east in Madison also had them this morning. The best regular price is at TRU where they are $19.99.

12" Battle Droid Wave

These are getting to be more common. Besides Farm & Fleet in Madison, TRU east in Madison, Wal-Mart in Beaver Dam, and Shopko in Beaver Dam has them. The best price is at Farm & Fleet.

Thursday, Oct. 14th:

TRU West Opens

The new TRU west store opened 12:00 noon today. It is very tiny looking to me, but a lot better than no store at all. As we knew, the 12" Battle Droid wave was present as well as the Adi Gallia wave. There was only one case of Adi Gallia and I think they are now all gone.

New Wal-Mart Price

Wal-Mart east in Madison now has figures marked at $5.70. This is in response to Farm & Fleets Toyland add. Needless to say, this price won't last forever, if you were thinking of getting some extra figures now is the time. To make things even better, it seems that Wal-Mart has the best selection of figures in town.

Timothy Zahn Signed Novels

Ian writes that Walden Books in Westown Mall has some novels for sale signed by Timothy Zahn. Most are at the usual price ($5.99 for a paperback for example).

Farm & Fleet Add

I got the Farm & Fleet add in the mail today. Nothing too earth shattering, figures $5.99, Pod Racers $19.99, etc. You should at least carry the add with you since most stores will price match.

Tuesday, Oct. 12th:

12" Battle Droid Wave

Wal-Mart east in Madison got in a case of the 12" Battle Droid wave today. This wave includes Battle Droid, Watto, and Obi-Wan.

Monday, Oct. 11th:

TRU West Update (Again)

It looks like the opening of the new store is getting pushed back further. Necklace tells me that they are now "supposed" to be Thursday now or maybe the weekend. Also, they now have 4 sets of the new Battle Droid 12" wave figures.

Farm & Fleet Toyland

Opens this Saturday at 7:00am, get there early to get a decent spot in line. Maybe they will have something good this year. Last year was pretty good, but the year before wasn't.
