TRU West Update

Necklace tells me that they are now looking at Tuesday for the opening. The computers and phone aren't wired yet.

Shopko Add

Shopko has on the front page of their add a coupon for 25% off any two toys. It's good only this week, but that should help reduce the cost of an R2-D2 carrying case.

Collection 2 Case

I have seen a new Collection 2 case lately. It does not have any Panakas or Royal Security Guards in it. Instead, it has 3 Nutes, 1 Rune, 2 Watto, and 1 C-3PO. I forget the rest exactly but Yoda & Destroyer Droid are also in there. Wal-Marts east & west in Madison have had these in over the course of the last week. So, the moral of the story is: Just because you see some newer Collection 2 figures, you did not necessarily miss Panaka & Naboo Royal Security.

Speaking of these two figures, it sound like Wal-Mart Baraboo had them in yesterday.

New 12" Wave

Beth reports finding the new wave of 12" figures at Shopkos in Upper Michigan. This is the wave that includes Watto, Battle Droid, and Obi-Wan. Another reason to get the 25% off coupon out of the Shopko Add.

Saturday, Oct. 9th:

R2-D2 Carrying Case

Every Madison area Shopko had these this morning; their price is $24.99. It is a little different in real life than what you would think from the pictures. It isn't as large as the previous carrying cases, but it is pretty thick (it's kind of chunky looking instead of flat looking).

Theed Hanger Playset

Wal-Marts east and west in Madison had in several of these today. This is the electronic playset and the price was $32.96. First off, these things are big and heavy (much more so than the other playset). You can't see the figures without opening up the box, but that might not be a problem since all of the ones that I saw were in VERY rough boxes. I only saw two that didn't have a strong ding in the corner and all of them had some sort of wear marks.

TRU east in Madison got in some more of these, 6 cases to be exact.

Friday, Oct. 8th:

TRU West Update

Necklace brings us some news on the new TRU west store. It should open the 10th, but it may be delayed if not set up in time. He has seen some of the stuff including: Adi Gallia wave, Darth Maul Tatooine wave, all 3 12" electronic figures, and the new EP1 Monopoly.

Walgreen's Report

Again, this news brought to us by Necklace. Walgreen's has had some things at a reduced price, including Jabba Glop at $5.49, CommTech reader at $8.99, and beast packs.

12" Darth Maul

Don't give up hope finding these just yet, Wal-Mart east in Madison got in a case of the first wave 12" figures including two Darth Mauls.

Wednesday, Oct. 6th:

Episode I Monopoly

Dave P. tells me that TRU east in Madison has had in the Episode I Monopoly. They were gone today when I stopped by, but it looks like they will be $39.99.

Tatooine Showdown 3-Pack

Wal-Mart Sun Prairie had a couple of these late this afternoon.

6" Anakin Wave

Shopko south, east, and Aberg in Madison has in this wave. All of the R2-A6 were gone, but the rest are there.

Masterpiece Edition C-3PO

Walden Books east in Madison has a couple of these. They are most likely more expensive than ordering online, but you would get to pick out the one that you wanted.

I Need Reports

Due to an unlicensed driver hitting my parked truck, I am now down to one vehicle. This means that I have to drive my wife to work, etc. and that I can't get out much to search for toys. I need more help getting information, so if you see something that might interest other readers, drop me a line.
