Background:
Elmira, a Spung Sirola, is the royal daughter of Warlord Shank. She is against the violence and cruelty of the Spung Empire, but has been forced against her will to use her psionic powers to aid the Empire by predicting the outcome of major battles. She hates this, and frequently tries to escape, with varying degrees of success. During one of her recent attempts, she met and was helped by the 'Cases. When she boarded the Christa, she recognized Radu as the person she was destined to marry. It took a little effort to make him realize this, but now he knows that Elmira is the only girl for him.

As the Empire had long viewed Andromedans as the enemy, only fit for slavery, Warlord Shank was not too pleased when he heard that his daughter had fallen in love with one. And when Warlord Shank is unhappy with someone, it's not too good for them. Thusly, Elmira, along with her other business, now has to keep an eye on her father and warn Radu (using psionic messages) whenever he invents a new scheme to destroy the 'Cases. She doesn't get to see Radu very much, but she knows that, sooner or later, their destinies will be fulfilled. And they will live happily ever after.
