THE BILLY JOEL PAGE!

Note: This page is still under construction so bear with me! For the time being, this will just be a text page. Thanks. J.S.

One time a person, whom I don't remember, asked me if there was on concert I wanted to go to in my life, what would it be. Without hesitation I said Billy Joel.On the night of December the 11, I had the pleasure to see the concert. And was it an experience!

THE GOOD: The concert.

THE BAD:It was only about two hours long :(.

THE UGLY: From the time on the ticket 'til the time he got on stage, it was about 40 minutes!

Ok, Let's give you the review of the concert. It started out with the lights out, the theme song from the film "The Natural", came through the speakers, and started to get louder and louder. The crowd of EXACTLY 31,000 people started screaming away! And then Bang! The light went on, B.J was wailing away on "Big Shot". All those nay-sayers saying that B.J's voice is over the hill, had better cry with the saints. Because his voice was a smooth as it has ever been! "I haven't come out with anything since 1993, so you're going to be hearing a lot of old s**t." He told the crowd, to a roar of applause.

More or less, it seemed to be a christmas card to the crowd. He went into some songs with intro's to several carols such as "Have yourself a Merry Little christmas". He had what it took to be a contender. "What is this a drive in movie?" he asked, referring to the two large video screens on each side of the stage. "I never wanted to be no movie star", but that didn't stop him from doing some pretty dead on impressions of Brando, Bogart, and DeNiro.

It's a shame that this will be his last big tour. But it is an experience I surely won't forget. (out of four mondos)..... 5 For everything I wanted out of a Billy Joel concert and so much more!
