8/31/99--Track standin room only! This looked to be just about a sold-out show! Moon Dog Mane opened with ole' Tesla guitarist Frank Tannen. The show started off Def Leppard played ROCK! ROCK! and I began jumpin hi above the crowd--so right away both Viv and Joe noticed us! Sav stood directly in front of our position in the crowd, about 30' away.
(Bob said Phil spotted Dawn, Jeremy and I, then gave Bob the "OK" sign!:-)
The entire band's performance was totally exceptional until an over-avid fan ran onstage. He went up behind Phil, Joe, Sav and Viv, then back across the stage again. 'Seinfeld' and another stage hand wrestled the fan off stage, when the stage's monitor system got jarred and we heard loud annoyin feedback from Joe's microphone. Everytime Joe would sing, the screechin sound would cause everyone to clasp their hands over their ears and scream in agony. Joe became obviously upset but only mentioned how that fan "just wanted to join Def Leppard, that way he could mess up, get kicked out and go form his own band!" The next song began and 'Seinfeld' had to fix the microphone again.
After gettin the crowd to listen again, Def Leppard went back to performin to their utmost degree!
