The Dedicated
The monks of URSA |

Back in 5,000 AL (Age of Life) The Sanctuary of Devotion was founded to help the human race survive in the young and hostile world. The founder, Cadderly Eberlyn, The Pure, received a vision from his god, Paladin. Cadderly gathered followers and built The Sanctuary as a temple to Paladin and his 2 sons, Habakkuk and Kiri-Jolith
Cadderly was a priest of what is now called the Fellowship. He taught humans how to look towards Paladine for guidance, Kiri-Jolith for courage, and Habakkuk for creation. He taught that the three acted as one...father and his two sons...though it is Paladin who is the ultimate god. Cadderly died 200 years later... Today, The Devoted spend their time studying. Researching. Noting and scribing all the different races, breeds, animals, reptiles, plants things in URSA. The grand library in The Sanctuary of Devotion is the largest in the world. It is protected by the strong stone walls surrounding The Sanctuaryary and numerous monks who spend their entire lives training and learning. The monks start learning at any age, but the large part begins at 5. Discipline, patients and obedience is literally pounded into their heads while they learn to read and write. The monks are considered the best scribes through-out URSA. Many kings and rulers request a Devoted to be an advisor or person of office. Urning and desiring all knowledge and wisdom they can gather and up-holding what is good in the father Paladin; to loving and helping creation and life from the oldest son Habakkuk; to the iron-like nervous, outstanding courage, and fierceness in battle as in the second son Kiri-Jolith. The Devoted will go through out their lives collecting information, knowledge, seeking to enlighten themselves. Frowning upon physical conflict. However, once it does arise, the monks are known as one of the most elite fighting groups through-out URSA, even the oldest or youngest can hold their own in a fight. This web-site below is all about the Monk character kit. The only difference between what you read there is what I wrote above. If you wish to be a monk or Devoted...please contact me first.
