| Opinion of Update 1.0: |
My opinion of the update to version 1.0......hmm....that's a tuffy. Well, I would like to start by commending the creators of Counter-Strike (even though they are sell-outs). They have done a great job in the past with the beta releases. Even though they are probably making lots of money now from Sierra, I trust in the fact that they too are unsatisfied with the outcome of version 1.0. It is still a GREAT game, but I believe that Sierra went about modifying it the wrong way. I am dissappointed with the character models, but I still LOVE the gameplay. The smoke grenades are a hell of a lot better from beta 7.0, although they are basically the same as 7.1 (I hated the blocky white shit in 7.0). My overall rating of the new version 1.0, however, is a C+. As I said before, the character models suck, as do the motions while running. Still, the gameplay is excellent, and the guns are as good if not better than before. Well, as they say in showbusiness, "Thank you, and goodnight!" |
