ENGINEERING: The Director of Engineering is a Captain, must have three years minimum line experience assigned as Chief Engineer on an FTL command, and must have secondary qualification of command experience. The director is a part of the SSD Chain-of-Command. The Engineering department directs Starship and Starbase Engineering, precious material management, and other Engineering related tasks.
