If you did not get any new connection rate readings:
This web page may already be in your web browser cache (thus it loaded from the browser cache - see below). Or you are using a web browser that does not have JAVA Script enabled. Or your web browser does not allow time measurement with millisecond precision.
Calculations are based on how long it takes to download ten 15k blocks of test data. The test data is in Zip file format, which (normally) can not be compressed any further (to improve the though put rate) by HTTP, or by built in modem compression methods.
PLEASE NOTE: The rates indicated can (and will) vary depending on how much traffic is being handled by your inter-net connection at the time you perform the test. You may wish to try running the test several times (or again at a later time) to see how much the rates do change.

To run the test again, you may need to clear out your browser cache.
To clear out the cache for Internet Explorer 4.0:
Use your Left Mouse Button to click on the following:
at the top of the screen click View
in the drop down box click Internet Options
in the Temporary Internet Files section click Delete Files
click the OK button in the box that comes up
click the OK button at the bottom of the dialog box
then click Refresh to run the test again.

Netscape users:
You need to clear BOTH the Memory Cache, and the Disk Cache.
For Netscape 4.0 use your Left Mouse Button to click on the following:
at the top of the screen click Edit
in the drop down box click Preferences
then click the Plus sign at the left of Advanced
then click on Cache
click the Clear Memory Cache button
click the OK button in the box that comes up
click the Clear Disk Cache button
click the OK button in the box that comes up
click the OK button at the bottom of dialog box
then click Reload to run the test again.

If you think the above instructions are complicated, you're not the only one!
I'm even more confused afer having to write the HTML code for them above!
