The criminals and evil-doers of Gomorra don't just rely on guns and knives. Nobody quite knows where Father Navarro stands, but he's using his powers to help the Black Jacks. The Flock is rumored to be up to no good and more of them are becoming Wanted every day. Even folks like the Agency and the Rangers are bringing in priests and ministers. To keep up with the times, the Law Dogs may have to call upon their resident Blessed, Reverend McPherson, to call upon the powers of the Lord for assistance.

Confession Blessed Difficulty X / Eight / Common Reverend MacPherson: It's good for the soul. Where you're going, son, you'll need it. Hunter's Notes: Don't have the time to sign out a Warrant? Have Reverend MacPherson pay them a visit. It has unlimited "range," so your Blessed can sit at home and employ it. The main problem is its targeting limitations: if you're up against a Whateley fear deck (particularly the Extended Family), you can forget it - hope you packed your Evidence and Warrants. The fact that it's Value-dependent means that if you're using the Old Law Dogs Outfit, you may have some trouble making those Influence 2+ Dudes Wanted. If you just want them sent to Jail, or if you are using Hunter's Office and just want a way to call them out, then Confession should work just fine. |
Fire and Brimstone Blessed Difficulty 6 / Queen / RoS Uncommon Hector Casparo: Why, the Reverend's speech deeply, deeply moved me. Why, I almost felt compelled to put down my cards and join the church. Then again...there's two cards to you, Mr. Whitmore. Hunter's Notes: Not bad for the "range," although it will probably require your Blessed going out on the streets of Gomorra. This can neatly pin down a Wanted Dude away from their home so that they can't run away from your callout. Pinned Down can then be used to cut them off from their posse if they have one. It's got a couple of interesting mechanics, so I wouldn't have anyone use it except MacPherson. Even one failed casting attempt will lose it for you. |

Lay on Hands Blessed Difficulty 8 / Four/ Rare (Uncommon in Pine Box) Corky Hendricks: We have the Reverend to thank, Nate, for bringing me back. Did I say something while I lay dying? No? Whew. Although if I had, it was because I was delirious and all, being on the verge of Heaven's gates and such. So if I did say something, don't pay it no never mind. Hunter's Notes: Resurrect a Dude Aced because of a wide variety of circumstances. Bringing back the experienced Corky is one tactic. Recovering a Dude after something like Inheritance also works nicely. Uhnfortunately, it's got a low Pull Value, and generally you should try to build your Law Dog deck for high Pulls because of the cost involved if you fail the casting. |
Light of the Lord Blessed Difficulty 5 / King / RoS Common Nate Hunter: Since being elected to the position of Sheriff, I make it a habit to attend church three times a week, rain or shine, outlaws or no outlaws. I find that Reverend MacPherson provides valuable insights during my...I mean, Gomorra's time of trouble. Hunter's Notes: Tired of paying those exorbitant Upkeeps for the experienced Hunter, or Coleman, or Templeton, or Warwick, or Nash Bilton? With Light of the Lord, worry no more. A single Blessed can cast multiple copies (even if booted), and it's got a easy Difficulty to beat. Plus it's a King. Probably no other Outfit needs this Miracle more. |

Test of Faith Blessed Difficulty 5 / Ten / Common Reverend McPherson: I have looked into the fire, and have not flinched. For it pales before the fire of Hell that face us all if we lose this battle for Gomorra's heart and soul. My faith sustains me, and that is all that I need. Hunter's Notes: Cast this easy Miracle, and the experienced MacPherson becomes a Stud-3. It's a Shootout Miracle, so use it as necessary when MacPherson has to defend himself against the Ambushes and Kidnappings that will no doubt follow him in any Law Dog miracle deck. Heck, it'll even turn someone like Angus MacFadden into a Stud, although he doesn't get an additional Bullet Rating bonus. |
Babble On Blessed Difficulty X / Queen / Common (in Pine Box as well) William Olson: They were so confused when they came in here, I was able to put them in a cell pretty as you please. Don't know how the Reverend does it, but I can't complain. It makes my job a lot easier. Hunter's Notes: A good overall Miracle, although the Law Dog's lack of high Blessed skill levels (or ways to increase same) will probably not make it much more effective than Mind Twist as far as the total amount of Influence you lower. As always, useful for getting that extra card due to highest Influence, or just grabbing that win when you're short a Control or Victory Point. |

Consecrate Armament Blessed Difficulty 3/7 / Ace / Common (in Pine Box as well) Deputy Milo Powell: Johnny here needs all the blessing he can get, Reverend. Why are yer lookin' funny at me like that, Rev? Ya ain't goin' speak ill of Johnny, are ya? Are ya?!? Hunter's Notes: I'm still a little unclear on what the benefit of making a weapon already in play Mystical is, exactly. But it's relatively easy to cast, doesn't boot the caster, has unlimited "range," and if you're using Hunter's Office, those cheap weapons became even more cost-effective. Even with the original LDs, turning a Pearl-Handled Revolver into the equivalent of a Bolt-Action (or better with the +2 alternative) ain't a bad deal. |
First Bowl Blessed Difficulty 4 / Ten / Rev Common Reverend MacPhearson: What the enemies of the Lord have forgotten in their rush to bring about the Apocalypse is that the Revelations swing both ways. The Mark of Beast shall show the evil-doers for what they truly are. No longer can they hide in the shadows. And once they reveal themselves by the Mark of the Beast, none shall deal with them. Hunter's Notes: Good Value and absurdly easy to cast. Make them Wanted, then zap their Influence to 0. Unlimited "range". Combine with Babble On and Confession, and drop an opponent down to 0 Influence each turn so quick it's not even funny. |
