155 Words: Shortest Pendrell/Scully Flirtation Ever!

Agent Pendrell had a huge crush on Dana Scully, and he loved it when she came
to the lab to find out what was implanted in her neck.

One day, he decided that he's going to ask her out on a date. The thought of having
the intelligent, auburn haired X-Files agent at his side brought his heart pounding. He
felt his heart was going to burst, literally.

He saw Scully walking up to him in the hallway across from AD Skinner's office. She
was wearing a beautiful red suit which made Pendrell's heart flutter. "I love that
dress, Agent Scully..."

"Thank you," Scully said, tiredly. She wanted to see Mulder. She only worn the
outfit to get Mulder's attention, not Pendrell's.

"Can I ask you out?"

"I'm sorry, Pendrell, but I can't..." She paused. "I'm in love with Mulder..."

"What a doof." Pendrell knew that all hope was lost because Mulder and Scully
were, finally, a couple.
