and...swords.

Mulder and Scully went to California to check out the
background of Duncan McLeod, who
loved swords and kept coming back to life.
While there, some people who didn't like McLeod killed
the agents for no reason, but not
before they had a chance to express their undying love,
whilst dying. Then, despite the
1:9,000,000,000 odds, both Mulder and Scully became
immortal as well. They had sex,
and discovered that asphyxiation could really be a
turn-on.
Skinner found out about them, because, despite the
1:9,000,000,000,000 odds, he was also
immortal, and he came to help them fight the evil, ugly
immortals.
So, Duncan gave them all swords and they went out and
kicked butt. And Mulder and Scully
lived happily ever after...well, until they reached their
hundred-year anniversary, when Mulder
forgot what the hundred-year anniversary gift was
supposed to be. She left him for Duncan,
cause he looked pretty damn sexy with that sword.
