Agassi is known for his return...the best in the game. He also has the best two handed backhand over all the pros...some use it as a weak shot, Agassi uses it to smash his opposition.
Another thing I admire about Agassi is his will to compete and his will to win, and his will to have fun while doing it. Comentators like Johnny Mac have said that he was one of the most entertaining players to watch...and I completely agree. He is a showman, but knows his bounds...does not lose his temper, and knows when to plead for justice.
He has had his slumps, and every single time, has come back from them. The tennis player who says he or she doesn't have a slump period is lying to you. But when Agassi makes a comeback, it's with grace, strength, and determination. He is automatically the croud favorite, and often wins hearts of opposition.
Sampras falls to Rafter due to an injury that occured while playing him. Sampras looking to beat Rafter until Sampras strained his left quadracep which left him unable to move quickly to the left. Even then Sampras played as best as he could, within his limitations. Unlike his previous game, where his ulcer was acting up, Sampras couldn't pull through and win. Next time Pete...Roy Emerson will be there with you always.

He plays like no one else plays...traditional tennis is his game. He is the best at this type of play. He learned from past greats such as Stan Smith and Rod Laver. He tells everyone that he cannot explain how he hits his forehand..."it just feels right" he says.
Sampras has one of the best serves in the game, averaging speeds of 135 mph. But any pro can hit the ball hard, Sampras hits it where he wants it. He is also one of the greats who has a 99.9% dependable second serve. Sampras claims that a second serve is one of the most crucial weapons in your repertoire.
Being part of numerous charities, including his "Hit an Ace" charity, Pete Sampras has a heart. Most people don't know this...but if you trace his childhood and life, it was one filled with hard work, and accomlishments.

Amanda Coetzer's tennis is like no other WTA player I have ever seen. (With Jana Novotna being second). Her determination and her will to win is unmatched. As seen on the court, she has an aggressiveness that would scare men away.
But on her off court side, Amanda is a sweet and caring woman. Being originally from South Africa, she is hailed over there as a legend. And she might well off be one soon. Being only 5'2", the shortest WTA players, she makes up for it with her quickness. Returning shots that would otherwise be clean winners.
But Coetzer is more than a defensive specialist. Her small frame produces surprisingly powerful groundstrokes, and in 1995 she proved she could win points at the net, too.
And again, players with big hearts always put them on my list of good players. She hasn't forgotten where she came from either since coming to the states, for she is currently helping out to juniors from South Africa in hopes of turning them into works of tennis greatness.
SECOND YEAR IN A ROW!!!! Rafter beat fellow Aussie Philipoussis in a grueling match where he just outplayed Philipoussis. Bageled him the last set!!! Go Rafter!!!

Patrick Rafter is the future of tennis for Australia. He is the quickest, most versatile player on the tour. Patrick plays tennis with a calm air about him, he seldom loses his temper.
I have never seen a player that just tries to get the ball back as succesfully as Rafter. Like Amanda Coetzer, balls that would seem like beautifull winners Rafter would return to sender. Patick has spirit to him as well. Like Andre Agassi, although not AS wild, he likes to put on a show for the audience.
Patrick lives a normal life for a player that turned pro. He often rides his moped everywhere, rarely do you see him with a driver or escort. He signs autographs, he smiles, he's a happy player. That's what fans appreciate in a player the most, to a fan, the more human a pro is, the more he/she is appreciated. Patrick loves his mom, his whole family.
Being the youngest of nine, Rafter is oftened pressured to do well. But as we all know, he's doing just fine!
