Kit Reviews: Falcon Kits By Jack Smith Review By: Paul Heaberlin |

When I read reviews, I wonder if the reviewer is just getting nit picky. Well I have to with the Falcon kits because they are so darned good! Mr. Smith has given us a wonderful patch to fix just a couple of the lackluster areas of the Millennium Falcon Model. One being the cockpit(or lack thereof in the kit), the other is the flat, side panels that surround the ship. We'll start with that first. The perimeter of the model is way too thick and has none of the detail that the ship in the film had; but that is overcome by this conversion. The entire outer edge of the ship is replaced with thinner, SHARPLY detailed pieces that will make you gawk! I've even compared the to pictures in Star Wars Chronicles and they withhold the test! I am extremely impressed with these pieces that I can't say enough! You MUST go to his page and see for yourself! The second part is the MF Cockpit detail Kit. I wouldn't call this a conversion since the MPC model has no cockpit. Jack's kit gives you a nicely detailed console, and an excellently detailed back wall, as well as two extra seats, and replacement 'glass' for the windshield. This will do wonders for the kit. It may seem like I haven't gone into enough detail, and show no pictures, but that's because I want you to go to his page yourself! You Will NOT be disappointed! |
