THE MAIN RIVERS OF SABAH

Before you start, it's best to have a map of Sabah's rivers (labled) in front of you.

This is a little story I made up to help me remember the positions of those rivers. Start from Sg. Segama and go anti-clockwise along the coastline.

This is the story of a bear in North Borneo.

Its nostrils smelt incense during a ritual of a certain AGAMA (Sg. Segama)

Much to its annoyance, the bridge of its nose grew a pimple the size of Gunung KINABALU (Sg. Kinabatangan)

However, its attention was diverted when its eyes saw a LOBAK (Sg. Labok).

In its brain, it thought, "Ooh, SO GOOD!" (Sg. Sugut).

Alas, only when the lobak went down its throat did it realize that something was wrong... writhing in agony, it screamed, "PEDAS!!!" (Sg. Padas)

In case you had no idea what I was talking about, go have a look at a map of Sabah. Looks like a bear's head, doesn't it? =D All the rivers mentioned here lead to a specific part of the head (underlined).

P.S. If you don't know where the real Mt. Kinabalu is, you should go and 'long piak si'
