Jeadin Trander was born in Baerlon, Andor. Her father, Richard Trander, was an inkeeper who owned an inn in a village somewhere in the far west of Baerlon. The distance between their village to the city of Baerlon was about three hours of riding. Being the only child in her family, Jeadin's parents gave her all their love and care. As she grew older, she helped her parents with the inn. Her parents were the most important thing that mattered to her in her life. She lived in peace and happiness throughout the years.

Her life changed during one cold winternight. Rumors of the Dark One's evil were spreading wildly in Baerlon at that time. Her parents did not believe in them though, thinking that the Dark One does not exist. It was very late that night when a trolloc raid came and started slaying and butchering the people of her village.

She could never forget watching her parents being slayed in front of her by trollocs. Shouting for her to run for her life. She did not run though, for her legs were weak from fear, and so, witnessed the horrible death of her parents. An emptiness overcame her, however, in a distance, she felt a warm comforting light. One of the trollocs had already turned it's attention on Jeadin. As soon as Jeadin was in reach, it gave a beastly snarl and lifted it's blade high up, bringing it down on her.

As she closed her eyes and prepare to die, a blademaster who happened to be in her father's inn that night came and rescued her by killing the two cold-blooded trollocs. He dragged Jeadin out of the backdoor and they begin to run. They ran for hours, not even daring to stop for a rest. As she had no relatives or any place to go or stay, Jeadin followed the blademaster who had saved her life. The blademaster was very kind to her. She later found out that his wife was dead, and they never had a child. Traken, the name of the blademaster that she learned later, treated her like his own child. He didn't tell Jeadin much about himself or his background, and Jeadin didn't want to force him if he didn't want to tell her.

They soon started towards Fal Dara, where Traken lived. They did not go near any cities, but stayed away from them. It was a long and dangerous journey, and soon Traken insisted that Jeadin should learn the skills of defence. Every evening, when they stopped for the day, he would use three hours to teach her weapons and hand to hand combat skills. Jeadin learned willingly, for Traken was a good teacher. She soon chose the quarterstaff as her main weapon, as not wanting to see too much blood in fighting. In most of her nights, she get nightmares, the scene of her parents lying in the puddles of blood and the trolloc bringing down the blade on her kept playing in her mind. She vowed that she will fight the Dark till the end of her life, building a special hate for friends of the dark.

After a long journey, they finally reached Fal Dara and settled down. Traken continued teaching Jeadin all he knew. Again, she did not know why, and did not ask. Few years later, Traken was visited by an Aes Sedai. They had a long conversation in a room, which was warded by the Aes Sedai. Jeadin begin to have the impression that Traken is more than just a blademaster. She was later discovered by the Aes Sedai that she had the inborn ability to channel. She didn't want leave, but she had to, as the consequences that the Aes Sedai had told her were terribly frightening...

That night, Traken insisted that Jeadin have her last practice with him. At the end of it, he took out something long and thin wrapped in a yellow silk cloth and gave it to her. Jeadin unwrapped it and found that it was a finely made quarterstaff, with small, neat carvings along it, in a tongue that she did not recognize. The balance was just right, and she knew that the wood was no normal wood. She asked him how did he come to possess such a thing, but he only answered with a smile and told her to keep it.

Jeadin left Traken the next day, following the Aes Sedai to Tar Valon. In Tar Valon, she worked hard as a novice, and was soon raised Accepted, then to Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah, as a cause of her special hate for darkfriends, she wanted to fight the last battle, to fight the dark, as she have vowed.

Her talent is Cloud Dancing, with Illusion as her secondary talent. Her strength in the five elements in order are Air, Water, Spirit, Fire and Earth. She stands 5 feet 7 inches, slim built. She have long dark hair and eyes the colour of dark brown. She is mostly seen wearing breeches instead of dress, and goes around with her quarterstaff slung on her back, especially when travelling.
