8. "Pangs"


Angel lurks in the shadows of Sunnydale trying to protect Buffy and keep her safe, while her perfect Thanksgiving feast is disrupted by an army of Chumash Indians, the original inhabitants of Sunnydale, whose spirits have come alive to recreate the wrongs that were done to their people. Plans to stop the Indian spirits are at first hampered by Willow's compassion for the spirits plight of killed for their land, and that Spike is actually asking the Scooby Gang for help. However, when the bodies pile up everyone has to realize they must fight or die. Angel lends a hand in the big showdown and slinks away unnoticed. Buffy does not even find out that Angel was there until Xander lets it slip in the final scene while they are all eating Thanksgiving dinner.
