The next day in the library, the gang is talking about what Xander saw. Buffy
comes in on them discussing that particular event to say she knows someone
who has the glove and is keeping it safe for her. Xander declares they Angel
is back and that it is dangerous for her to be hanging around him. Everyone
is a sourpuss to say the least, especially Giles who is quick to remind Buffy
Angel's history of wreaking havoc and the fact that he tortured Giles. Ms.
Post goes to Faith's living quarters to start training. Ms. Post makes a
little annoyed comment about being kept in the dark while Giles and Buffy's
friends have a secret meeting. Faith assumes that they are conversing about
her without her knowledge and that they don't consider her a friend, a "bud".
At the Bronze Xander is fuming while playing pool, when Faith comes in. Xander
vents to Faith about Angel being in town and how much he hates Angel. Faith
decides she's going to kill Angel. They head over to the library to where
the weapons live. Meanwhile, Giles tells Gwendolyn over a cup of find English
tea that the way to destroy the glove is by the living flame. Gwendolyn goes
psycho and wacks Giles unconcious when he tells her the wherabouts of the
glove. Xander and Faith come in and find Giles there and they assume Angel
was the culprit. Xander stays with Giles and calls 911, while Faith goes
to do her duty at the mansion. Giles comes to long enough to tell Xander
the living flame is the only way to destroy the glove. Meanwhile, Buffy and
Willow are discussing secrets and their harm. Buffy says that even though
everyone is angry with her it is nice to have her secret about Angel being
back out in the open. Willow hints around and she comes very close to coming
clean about the entire her and Xander issue. However, before Willow can tell
Buffy the demon looking for the glove shows up. Buffy is quick to behead
him. When Buffy asks what Willow was going to tell her Willow wimps out and
tells Buffy she opened her SATs' booklet 5 minutes early. Fresh off the victory
of defeating Logous (the demon) Buffy and Willow go to the library to share
the news. Xander tells them his and Faith's suspicions. Buffy doesn't believe
Angel could do anything bad like that no At the mansion Angel is in the middle
of a ritual (living flame) to destroy the glove. Gwendolyn shows up and
introduces herself as someone helping Giles. Angel believes her and gives
her his back, but not before telling her where the glove is. Then, Gwendolyn
wacks him over the head with a shovel. Whose reaction, of not dying, alerts
her to the fact Angel is a vampire. He hits her when she tries to get to
the glove. Faith comes in to find Gwendolyn lying dazed on the floor. She
believes Gwendolyn when Gwendolyn tells her Angel hurt her. Faith tries to
stake Angel and would have succeeded if Buffy hadn't come in at that moment
and tackled her. Buffy and Faith fight it out, while Angel lies on the floor,
injured. Gwendolyn uses this chaos to put the glove on. Willow and Xander
arrive just in time to be blasted at with lightening bolts from the glove.
Xander manages to get out of the way but runs into a wall while trying to
get Buffy and Faith to stop fighting. Willow is almost hit but Angel saves
her in the nick of time. Gwendolyn tells Faith she's a trusting idiot. Buffy
uses a piece of broken glass form the window she and Faith crashed through
while they were fighting to cut off Gwendolyn's arm that has the glove on
it. Gwendolyn is electricuted by the lightening she was using against others.
Since, she's dead they are able to continue the ritual and destroy the
glove.
Next day, Giles is up and around. He called the Watcher council and they
claim they sent out a memo about Gwendolyn being excommunicated 2 years ago
for using the Black Arts. Buffy goes to see Faith at her living quarters.
Faith is Dariaish in her mood and actions. She does not want to admit she
made a mistake that could have cost lives. She isn't very sincere when she
tells Buffy that everything is all right. Then, Buffy tells Faith she can
trust her, but Faith says she can't trust anyone but herself.
