The Order of the Silver Flame by Chasmyr

his is an elven order of knighthood dedicated to the defense of the elven people. Member's are typically mages, clerics, and psionicists, and are represented on the crest of the order by the flame. However, many multi-classed fighter's and rogues are members as well. These member's contribute the silver to the order's flame. Amongst member's, a multi-classed fighter or rogue is frequently referred to as a silver, whilst straight spell-caster's and psionicists are referred to as flames.

This knighthood is only open to elves. No other races are ever accepted as members.

No outright benefit is conferred, beyond the expectation that member's will always rise to the defense of the elven people against any enemy, of any origin, no matter the cost. Further, the member's may switch kits to either the Knight of the Flame kit, or the Knight of the Silver kit. This may be done at any point after the character has been knighted, and has gained one level.

The crest of the order is a simple silver flame, typically stitched upon a tabard or the robes of the knight. It may also be incorporated into the member's personal sigil, and this is frequently done.

Some adventurous members may find themselves repeatedly approached with quests for the good of the elven people. They are expected to perform these quests with no expectation of reward. Repeated failure to do so may result in the character being shunned by elves everywhere. If it causes extreme harm or death to an elf, any titled noble who may witness these acts may publicly strip the character of his titles.
