Eir

Eir Eir's avatar visits Jorda in one of three forms: an ancient crone with a blue cape carring bags of herbs that she often dispenses to those in need of healing, a young fortune teller who appears to warn of coming danger, and wizardess dressed in blue robes who faintly glows from the bult up magical energy inside. Eir's color is blue and her symbol is the two moons - one crescent, one full. She is associated with the raven as well as snake.

Revered for her wisdom and knowledge, Eir is very popular among the common folk of Ahvlyn. Her priests are physicians, midwives and creators of potions and other minor talismans and charms. All temples of Eir have sickrooms where locals may be treated and some of the larger temples have fully staffed hospitals. Eir is also the all-knowing goddess, able to chart the future of any person and will sometimes grant her priests similar divinatory powers.

The goddess Kendra is worshipped by a significant number of dwarves and has been known to grant her favored followers the recipe for a tonic that cures hangovers. Priests of Kendra tend herb gardens and brew healing teas as well as potions and charms.

Honored by the Almec and Frost Elves as The Whispering Spirit, she is usually associated with shaman and wise women. Their knowledge and powers are used for the benefit of the tribe, but kept secret from them, as the casual touch of The Whispering Spirit has been known to cause madness.

The following abilities and restrictions are placed on all of Eir's priests:

Priests also have the ability to turn undead and are sometimes granted, at Eir's whim, one or more of the following abilities: Bind Fetish, Enchant Talisman, Life Read, Cure and/or extra healing abilities.
