Make your own music with your own Free Home Page!Because The Quartet of the Longbeards is committed to providing the young and young-at-heart of all ages with as much opportunities as possible to experience the vast spectrum not only of the string quartet literature, but of all chamber music in general, we have resolved to devote a sizable portion of our performing style to presenting programmes aimed primarily at family- oriented audiences. We Longbeards proudly number ourselves among that vast majority of musicians --- many of whom are parents and/or grandparents (or even great-grandparents, as the case may be!) --- who believe that it's never too early or too late to introduce a child to the wonderful universe of classical music.
For this reason, we have chosen to devote this section of our homepage to presenting several of the programmes we have prepared whenever we have been asked to play for younger audiences. The six introductions posted herein are representative samples of these special recitals.
