The TIE ADvanced was designed by order of Lord Vader shortly after the TIE Interceptor was produced to combat the Rebel A-Wing.	The TIE Advanced was modeled after Darth Vader's personal shielded TIE, the same TIE he flew during the Battle of Yavin.	The TIE Advanced combines a shield system with amazing speed and maneuverability. It's armament of four laser cannons and two warhead launchers makes the TIE Advanced a feared quick-strike and escort unit.	The TIE Advanced is also hyperdrive equipped, enabling it to operate independently of a mother ship. The TIE Advanced is another example of the Empire's military might and capability to produce the best craft in the galaxy.
