Controversial pre-Empire Jedi Master. Teacher of Obi-Wan Kenobi and first mentor of
Anakin Skywalker. Qui-Gon Jinn differed from most other Jedi of his time in his orientation
to the Living over the Unifying aspect of the Force.
Regarded as a maverick by the Jedi Council for his independence and tendency to involve
himself in disapproved causes. His compassion for other life forms led to his habit of picking
up 'strays' to the annoyance of both the Council and his last padawan, Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Killed by the Sith Apprentice Maul Qui-Gon's dying request to his padawan, that he train
young Anakin Skywalker, was to effect Obi-Wan's entire life.
Alternate Universe 1
Born into the fifth generation of a Jedi Family Qui-Gon learned his nonconformist tendencies
from his mother, Dom'na Jehane Ai, a Living Force mystic. Qui-Gon married Moriah Organa, born
a princess of Alderaan, and had one son by her; Dai-Men Jinn. Master Qui-Gon trained three
Padawans: Hamilcar Solo, who eventually turned renegade; Jokhan Pater, who failed his Knight's
trials and chose to become a Healer; and Clone Wars hero Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Alternate Universe 2
In this timeline Qui-Gon survived the wounds he recieved in his duel with Maul and lived to train the
'Chosen One' Anakin Skywalker himself. He did not lose Anakin to the Emperor but managed to turn him back
to the Light before it was too late though the effort cost him his life. He continues to advise and comfort
not only Anakin but Obi-Wan in apparitional form.
