Daughter of Anakin Skywalker and Amidala of Naboo, twin sister of Luke Skywalker.
As a baby Leia was taken by her mother to Alderaan where she was adopted by Prince
Bail Organa. Amidala remained with her but died when Leia was still very young, though
she retains some memory of her.
Like her mother Leia was trained to a life of royal duty, serving as her adopted planet's
representative in the Imperial Senate. And as a courier for the Rebel Alliance, her
diplomatic duties providing a perfect cover. It was through one such mission, to recieve
the stolen Death Star plans, that she met her long lost twin brother and the man she
was going to marry, Han Solo.
After the destruction of Alderaan Leia served as a political and military leader of the
Alliance, sharing command of a combat group with General Riekeen.
Her Force potential was partially awakened when Luke used it to contact her on Bespin
and she unconsciously used her powers to kill Jabba while rescuing Han. Though aware she
was adopted Leia had no knowledge, or apparently curiousity, about her birth family until Luke
told her of their relationship and their common Jedi heritage before going to face Vader.
Alternate Universe 1
The only other members of the Organa family to survive the destruction of Alderaan were
Leia younger brother, Prince Valorum Organa, and their great aunt the Jedi Master Moriah Organa,
mother of Master Dai-Men Jinn.
After the fall of the Empire Leia studied the Jedi Way with Dom'na Moriah and married Han Solo.
They have four children, two sets of twins; Anakin and Amidala, Hamilcar and Helisee.
Alternate Universe 2
The infant Leia is taken to Alderaan by her mother's Handmaiden Sache and adopted by the
Organas. Unlike the Prime Universe she grows up believing she is their biological child
