A Turn For the Worst
Writen by Alan Winner

As the two trotted through the forest at a rather swift gait, they approached an appendage from a tall willow tree in the center of a ring of trees seeming to be an alter of some sort for a cult or religious tribe. Myst decided that the growth from the tree should at least have a thorough invetigation.

Myst approached the tree with Brakk following close behind, suddenly the earth shook violently, causing the two companions to stumble and fall on the unusual terrain.

When Brakk stood and regained his balance he looked at the man lying beside him knowing not who he was or what he was doing at his side. Myst, however was more fortunate to recognize the man beside him to be Brakk.

As Brakk eyed Myst still confused about his situation, Myst was confused himself, not knowing that Brakk had lost all memory of the two of them ever encoutering each other.

Unfortunately, Myst had, somewhat, injured himself in the painful fall he had taken earlier.

In attempt to communicate with Brakk, Myst questioned,"Have you harmed yourself?"

Brakk, having not the foggiest idea of who this stranger was responded in silence and a rude gesture, turning his back and slowly walking away.

Myst, finally gaining Brakk's attention, convinced him to stay the night and set up camp in the forest.
