The Ramantha Queen
CGI Drawn By: Darkmax

The Ramantha Queen has been plying the spaceways of the Three Galaxies for more than 300 years, a shining star in luxury travel. Since her debut, however, she has been eclipsed by the amenities and space offered by many of the larger vessels that have come onto the market in the centuries after her debut. Her line of the Queen class, the R-line, featured all of the systems that have come to be expected as standard on all Three Galaxies ships of today. Her modular nature and spacious staterooms has kept the ship alive as a private charter ship and a hospital ship.

The Ramantha Queen offers 200 state rooms spread out over 5 passenger decks. There are 10 dining rooms and 20 rooms dedicated to various forms of entertainment, from movies and theater to various sports activities. The two main attractions of the Ramantha Queen are the domed main dining hall and arboretum. The domed main dining hall can accommodate up to 200 passengers at a time for dining under the stars. Besides bearing plants and trees from all over the galaxies, the massive arboretum also does duty as part of the air recycling system and as part of the hydroponics facility. The arboretum also has its own independent power generator and small thrusters so that in case of emergency, it can seal itself off from the rest of the ship and act as an emergency life support boat for the passengers and crew. Engineering takes up the last two decks on the bottom of the ship. Besides the drives, reactors, and life support systems, the engineering decks also have four fully stocked machine shops: two dedicated to ship's needs, one dedicated to shuttlecraft repairs, and one for solving passenger needs, including a small nanofactory for smaller electronic items.

As a charter vessel, the Ramantha can carry up to 200 additional passengers with no strain on her systems. In the case of a planetary emergency, the Queen can be outfitted as a hospital ship, with her normal fully operational Body Doc supplemented by up to 3 additional Body Docs. She can also carry and care for up to 1000 total patients for up to 3 months.

During her last mission as a hospital ship, the Ramantha took major damage during a freak ion storm. Soon after, many of her patients, and a few doctors and engineers mysteriously disappeared from the ship. Since then, she gained a reputation among the dock workers as being haunted. This reputation caused her to be sold for parts to Pheonix Unlimited. Since then, she has been used as both a storage facility, and as a playground by many of the members of Pheonix. Her new owners have also taken to uparming the Ramantha. It has yet to be seen how effective the upgrades are.

Weapons Systems:
1) Laser Cutting Beam Cannon:
Originally a secondary cannon on an enemy cruiser, this fixed forward cannon is the main gun on the Ramantha Queen. Even with the barrel sticking out of the hull of the ship, it still uses an immense amount of space inside the ship, filling the forward third of both cargo decks with equipment and power generators. The beam can be played across 100 feet of a target's length. It does up to 10% of the original damage to each target location that it hits. You roll to hit the original target then roll a called shot for each part of the ship you want to drag the beam across, up to the rate of fire per melee.
Range: 50 miles in atmosphere, 100 miles in space
Damage: 8d6x100 MD per blast + 8D6x10 MD in cutting mode.
Rate of Fire: Three times per melee
Payload: Effectively Unlimited

2) Particle Beam Cannons (2): These cannons were the main weapons of the Ramantha. They are two double-barreled particle cannon turrets: one mounted just forward of the bridge and the second mounted right above the main engine. The turrets can rotate a full 360 degrees and swing out 90 degrees. They are primarily used to scare away potential pirates and destroy threats that can't be destroyed by the point defense lasers.
Range: 7 miles in atmosphere, 14 miles in space
Damage: 1d6x100 MD per shot, 2d6x100 MD per double-barreled blast
Rate of Fire: Three times per melee per barrel
Payload: Effectively Unlimited

3) Laser Cannons (2): These cannons are part of the Ramantha's new armament. They are two double-barreled laser turrets mounted on either side of the middle of the fourth passenger deck, replacing two passenger cabins.

4) Forward Cruise Missile Launchers (2): These are recessed cruise missile launchers mounted in the upper cargo deck just above the midline.
Range: Effectively 1000 miles.
Damage: 2d6x100 MD
Rate of Fire: Volleys of 1, 2, or 4 missiles
Payload: 20 missiles each, 40 total.

5) Rear Cruise Missile Launchers (2): These are recessed cruise missile launchers mounted in the lower cargo deck just below the midline.
Range: Effectively 1000 miles.
Damage: 2d6x100 MD
Rate of Fire: Volleys of 1, 2, or 4 missiles
Payload: 40 missiles each, 80 total.

6) Medium Missile Launchers (4): These are recessed medium missile launchers mounted in the fourth passenger deck, completely replacing eight cabins.
Range: 50 to 100 miles.
Damage: Plasma (2D6x10 MD) or Multi-Warhead (2D4x10 MD each warhead)
Rate of Fire: Volleys of 1, 4, 8, or 20 missiles
Payload: 100 missiles each, 400 total.

7) Anti-missile Laser Turrets (4): These automatic point defense lasers are specially designed to engage missile volleys. As such, their targeting computer will only fire on incoming missile volleys. Its damage counts as a spray, with every missile in a volley sharing the damage.
Range: 6,000 ft in atmosphere, 3 miles in space
Damage: 2D6x10 MD shared to entire volley.
Rate of Fire: Three attacks per melee
Payload: Effectively Unlimited
Bonus: +4 to strike

8) Point Defense Laser Turrets (16): Double-barreled point defense laser turrets are mounted around the ridge of the main body and equidistant around each of the armoglass domes.
Range: 6,000 ft in atmosphere, 3 miles in space
Damage: 1d6x10 MD per single barrel burst, 2d6x10 MD for a double-barreled blast
Rate of Fire: As H2H
Payload: Effectively Unlimited

9) Auxiliary Craft: The Ramantha Queen has four large landing bays in the middle of the ship. Each bay can accommodate up to two 100-foot length or smaller shuttlecraft/yachts or, for flights into less savory areas, 3 fighters each, giving her a total of either 8 shuttles or 12 fighters. The Ramantha Queen is currently carrying 2 Vindicators in the forward starboard bay and 5 Alpha/Tread Fighters + 1 Alpha/Beta Legios in the rear bays.

10) Cargo Holds: The Queen-class has two massive cargo hold decks that run the entire length and width of the ship. Each deck is 50 feet high and is what would normally allow the Ramantha Queen to carry almost twice its weight in cargo, supplies, and luxury items. Due to the additional landing bays and weapon systems added to the Ramantha, that cargo space has been cut by 60%. These decks are also fully modular, allowing the crew to setup individual environments, if necessary, for particular cargo.

11) Systems of Note: All Standard Starship Systems.
