Selene was the first 'bad guy' Rachel encountered in the 616 Earth. A mutant External, Selene has lived for hundreds of years, and can absorb the life-force from a human being. After she killed the man who assisted Rachel, Nick, she earned the hatred of the Phoenix.

Selene is currently the Black Queen of the Hellfire Club.

The time-dancing Spiral is the servant of Mojo. She tricked Rachel into entering the Body Shoppe, and imprisioned her in Mojoworld. Ray escaped, and was pursued by the Technet. Meggan, Capt.Britain, Nightcrawler, and Shadowcat helped her escape Spiral and Mojo's clutches. Spiral is also responsible for body-swapping Psylocke and Kwannon, which is why Betsy Braddock is an asian ninja instead of a blonde british woman.
