Lei Magnus Shabranigdu looked into the shadows of the room.
"My Lord!" a figure in the shadows called him.
"Yes, my knight?" he answered in a solemn voice.
"I think we have a traitor in our rangs."
Lei's ruby eyes flashed, he hated traitors more than anything else.
"Who do you have in mind?" asked the Mazoku Lord.
"I don't have anyone specific."
Shabranigdu looked thoughtfully at his knight for some moments, then a malicious smile crossed his features.
"You know what you have to do. Go! Tell the others to come here." he turned around. Who ever it is, I'm going to find out, and then... then the traitor will pay!!
"Yes, my master." answered the figure in the shadows amused.
Dynast Grausherra was about to leave his domain when he felt a shudder overcome him. He knew who had caused it and he knew he hated that person more than anything else he could recall at this moment.
"Grausherra!" he heard the knight's voice behind him.
"What do you want?" he asked annoyed.
Dynast didn't want to face the knight, but even if he did turn around, it would probably be standing in the shadows as usual.
"You should have a little more respect for me!" it said.
"Whatever." said the Dark Lord making a dramatic handmove and rolling his eyes.
The knight ignored Dynast's irony and said: "The Lord wants to see his five servants."
Dynast could hear the sarcasm in its voice as it said the word 'servants'.
"He wants you to bring your two little bitches with you!" continued the knight, then it phased out.
Shabranigdu's knight was floating over Chaos Dragon Garv's place. Garv is at home? Well, it make it much easier for me, I don't have to go look for him who knows where... It teleported once more and was standing in the shadows of the room in which a large bed, a closet, a desk and two chairs were. Sitting at one of those chairs at the desk was a long red-haired man writing something.
"Just a moment." said Garv to the knight.
The knight waited until the Dark Lord turned around to face it.
"Shabranigdu-sama wants to see you. He wants you to bring your frustrated Dragon-Mazoku and your annoying little girl." it said.
"Only us?" asked Garv ignoring the knight's insults toward his general and priest.
"All five of the Dark Lord and their respective two servants are to meet at his palace."
"Have you already told the others?" Asked the Dark Lord.
"No..." it said slowly, it was starting to know what the red-haired man was about to say, "...only Grausherra."
The man in front of the knight smiled at it, "Then you can give this to my beloved Dalphin." he said holding a small envelope in his hand, he waved with it.
"I'm a knight not a postman." said the knight sweatdropping.
Garv stood up and walked toward it.
"Here!" he said holding the letter, the knight reach for it, "since you still have to go to see her you can take it with you and give it to her. I'll go now and let my general and priest know about the meeting." with those words Garv phased out.
The knight rolled its eyes and shacked its head unbelievingly. It still couldn't understand Garv's attachment towards Dalphin after so many years around them.
Deep Sea Dalphin was lying in her bathtub reading a book when Lei's knight appeared in her bathroom. She looked up from her book into the shadows.
"My master wants to meet his five Lords" said the knight starting to feel like a recorder repeating itself over and over, and there were still two left. It sighed.
"As soon as I finish my bath I'll go see Shabranigdu-sama" said Dalphin with a clear female voice.
"Don't forget to take your two weirdoes with you." said the knight amused.
The Dark Lord's eyes flashed, "My weirdoes as you say have names and even you have to use them!"
"Sure, whatever..." said the knight annoyed, "Anyway your boyfriend is using me once again as deliverer. Here!" the knight threw the envelope toward the long light-green haired woman who catched it.
"Another one." she sighed and leaned towards a small cupboard to her right.
Dalphin opened it and the knight could see that it was full of letters that seemed to be unopened. She noticed the knight presence, it was still in her bathroom, she turned towards it.
"Anything else?" asked the Dark Lord.
"Don't be late." it disappeared.
At Wolf-Pack Island Xellas Metallium was half sitting half lying on a couch drinking and smoking. She was wondering where her son had gone to. Probably visiting his sis Luna-chan, she thought. Suddenly she felt a familiar presence in the room.
"Oh! It's only you again. I should have known that. Everytime I feel rotten you appear." said the Beastmaster annoyed.
"Thank you so much Xellas-chan" said the knight, sarcasm filled its voice.
"Did you get fired or why are you here?" asked Xellas.
Had Xellas been able to see the knight's face she would have seen a flash of anger cross it's features, but Xellas didn't need to see it, she had probably felt it.
"I'm her because Lei-san wants to see you." the knight made a pause.
Xellas eyes glittered hopefully at the thought of her lover.
The knight smiled maliciously then it continued saying: "And he also wants to speak to his other four Lords."
The Beastmaster felt like she had been crushed and that hopefully glitter that had been in her eyes disappeared.
The knight turned around, "Don't forget your fruitcake of a son." it teleported away.
On the veranda of the Hellmaster's setting in the Desert of Destruction, Phibrizio was siting on the lap of his general and priestess Kaana and was drinking tea. When he was about to finish it a person appeared in the shadows of the door that leaded inside his domain. Phibrizio didn't let himself be interrupted and finished his drink, then he put the cup on the table and stood up from Kaana's lap. He was still smaller than her eventhough she was sitting. His green eyes fixed at the figure in the shadows.
"I'm here to let you know that Shabranigdu-sama has called a meeting to which all of his five Dark Lord and their respective priests and generals have to attend. So don't forget your lover there." said the knight to the boy in front of her, those words spoken she disappeared.
Xellos was walking with his 'sis' in the gardens of Kayless. It was rare for the two of them to spend time only walking and talking about things that had no big importance. Xellos knew that Luna needed to get out of that office which was filled with work. She needed to relax a little as well as anyone else even if she didn't show it, afterall she was only a human being...
<Xellos>
*Mom?*
<Lei has called a meeting to which all of us have to attend. Come, we have to go.>
"Luna-chan?"
"You have to go, don't you?" she asked smiling at him, he saw how tiered she was.
"Yes, Shabranigdu called up a meeting." he said as they stopped.
"A meeting? Any ideas?" she asked concerned.
"To say the truth..."
"No." they said in unison.
"Do you want me to tell Amelia?" asked Luna.
"No, it's not necessary, I'm sure she wants to spent time with her sister. I'll tell you what's up when I'm back, yes?"
She nodded. Xellos leaned forward and kissed her cheek before phasing out. Luna stood there for some moments thinking about what Lei could possible hold a meeting....
She had a bad feeling about this....
"Miss Luna." she heard a voice behind her and turned around and saw a long curly black-haired girl around the age of 15 with yellow eyes standing in front of her.
"Lydia, don't tell me you blew something up again." Luna sighed, the girl had taken Lina as her idol and caused great damages to their city when she lost control of her powers.
"No, Miss Luna, not today at least," the girl laughed and put her a hand behind her head, "I'm here because Sylpheel told me to go look for you and to tell you that the group that was send to... to.... well I forgot the name... anyway she said it would be good if you would go to her. She said that she'll be waiting for you in the infirmary."
"Did she tell you why?" asked Luna the girl.
"No, she only said is was important. You want me to tell her you're busy, Miss Luna?"
Luna got a concerned expression on her face but hid it under an expressionless mask , "No, it won't be necessary. Thank you Lydia." she fuzzed the girls hair and ran to the infirmary. The bad feeling growing inside, getting stronger with each moment.
"Sylpheel!" She opened the door of the infirmary and looked shortly into the room.
Most of the infirmary was filled with people who had scratches all over themselves, some where crying from the pain and the ones who weren't hurt helped taking care of the injured. Sylpheel appeared behind a curtain, she was holding a small boy in her arms and she looked exhausted.
"Luna, thanks Cephied you're here. I have terrible news. Please come with me." she said giving the boy to a woman next to Luna.
Luna followed the priestess father behind and then entered with her a room with an empty bed.
"What on L-sama's name happened?"
"High-ranked Mazoku, two of them to say the truth and it seems that another one attacked Palan leaving only a few survivors." the priestess sat down an the bed, "...I ... I can't do this by myself Luna." she looked with tear filled eyes at the knight.
Luna saw how desperate the priestess felt, "Where are Eris and Filia?" she asked as she sat next to the priestess and put an arm around her to comfort her.
"I don't know. No, one has seen them nor Aishan nor Xeres. I need help here, I might be a priestess and my powers in Withe Magic are strong, but this is too much for one person. First the ones injured from Selif then the ones from Sedim and now Palan. I haven't slept in four days, I can't do this anymore, but I know I have to help. I... I... I don't know what to do. The Recovery spells have drained almost all my power, I can hardly stay awake..." She broke down in tears.
"Shh. I'll help you and there's still Alas and the others here who can handle White Magic. Why don't you lay down here and rest. I'll take care of the rest." She pushed Sylpheel to lay down on the bed and then walked to the curtain and left the room.
Outside the room Luna sighed, when you need priests or priestesses there are none but when you don't need them.... Agh! Why do I always get stuck with the work? She sighed mentally.
"OKAY PEOPLE! I want you to listen right now to me! My name is Luna Inverse and I need any help here I can get. So who can do healing spells?"
She saw some hands raising slowly, "Good. Listen, our healer here is too exhausted, so we have to do it without her. I need everybody who is not injured too badly to help around here. You over there at the door, Yes you... Stop someone outside and send him inside to me!" She turned around and indicated some woman to take care of the children while the other adults were taken care of. She walked to the end of the infirmary. Great! Just great! I'm supposed to be a knight not a priestess...
"Luna-san?" she heard Ayla's voice behind her
Luna turned to the girl, "Ayla tell anyone you know who knows white magic to come here and help me. Tell Alas, Lina,... I don't know who else now, but get them here."
The girl nodded and as she was about to run away she crashed into Tires who was about to faint right away holding the black haired priestess in his arm. Eris looked dead and Ayla screamed as she saw her. Luna ran to them, helped Tires with Eris and laid her on the floor where she immediately casted recovery on her. Tires fell into unconsciousness, but was carried by two strangers to a bed. He had overstrained himself and he would pay for it in the next weeks, and still he had felt it had been worth it, maybe Eris would live to smile at him again.
